My wagon, as seen below, is a "bentobox on wheels". She is a Winter package, which means (amongst other things) she is wired for two batteries (24s) in parallel. The Starwagon (L300) came with either one battery (27) or the dual battery in parallel.
You have a Space Gear (L400), of which I'm not familiar with the wiring and so should not really suggest anything. I will say ~ if you have a single battery set up, you can't just put an extra battery in, just as I cannot remove one of my batteries and run on just one. It requires a complete new system, right down to the size of the alternator.
I would recommend posting a new thread on this topic in "L400 Technical" and see what you find there. There are some very talented Space Gear drivers whom may have some good ideas for you.
Hope this helps.
Falco.
