Was trying to put in some DIY LED lights in the rear most interior light housing and managed to cross a wire to ground and blow a fuse. So all interior lights, stereo, power locks and ? not working. Found and replaced blown 30A fuse, but it fried again instantly (yes i have already removed the DIY lights) Any thoughts? On a related topic, I've looked around but can't find a listing of what each of my fuses is for so i can lable it in english. Oh, it's a 98 L400 Super Exceed. Thanks
On further looking, eventually found the wiring diagram and discovered a blown 10A fuse that should solve my problem...... that having been said, now i understand why my front AC only really works at hiway speed.....sooooooo any thoughts why that would be blowing a fuse?

interior light issue
I would be willing to bet the 30 amp fuse is from your condenser a/c fans. Do the front2 fans spin as soon as you turn the a/c on?

Re: interior light issue (actually an AC issue)
I have a similar problem I am trying to sort out. I accidentally shorted the system while replacing the rearmost globe light with the new LEDs. I assume I have blown a fuse because the interior lights and the crystal light shades aren't working now, but I am not sure which fuse it would be. I thought it might be the 10A fuse under the hood, but it isn't blown and the radio is till working. I have checked every fuse under the hood (except the black ones at the back) and every fuse under the dash with a multi-meter and they all seem to be fine. Are there any other fuses that I am unaware of? Or does anyone have a suggestion on what might be going on?
Recap:
Interior globe lights, sun shades, and dash heater/fan controls don't work
interior fluorescent light does work, radio work, power locks work, power mirrors work
I have a 1996 L400
If it is one of the black ones at the back how do you check them?
Thanks
