Oil Level on Dipstick

Post by quadzilla »

Hidy Ho Ho Ho

I am NOT a dipstick, but... when checking the oil level, how much should be showing on the dipstick to indicate the oil level is A OK?

Engine off and at operating temperature. Pull the dipstick and wipe with a rag. Re-insert the dipstick to all the way to the bottom. Pull it back out and get your reading. There should be a notch or F and L line on the end of the dipstick. If its below the notch or the F line then it will need topped up. Hope this helps.

I dipped my stick at the appropriate time, put it all the way in (not forcefully, of course) and all is good. Thanks.
