Re: 1990 Delica For Sale - $9500

Price drop - now asking $8000. I'd say it's highly unlikely that you would be able to find a van in better mechanical condition for this price, and I'm probably stupid for posting it for that. There won't be any more price drops after this, if it doesn't sell for this, I have an offer to trade it fo...

Re: 1990 Delica For Sale - $9500

Bump. Still looking for a home. I have over $14 000 in this van, and the only reason I'm selling it now at a loss is that I bought another car that is more suitable for both of our needs, and I can't afford to keep both. Otherwise, I'd never let it go. There has been a lot of interest, but because I...

1990 Delica For Sale - SOLD

I’ve been wrestling with this one for awhile, but the unfortunate truth is that I don’t need this van anymore. New job, new location, student loan and a lot less free time are on the horizon, so my baby is up for sale. Here are the specs: - 1990 P25 (Low Roof) Delica Exceed, Automatic, 2.5L turbo di...

Re: My weekend (why the Delica is the perfect vehicle for me!)

that's a hell of a story Green1, nice work! the chopper pad does look sketchy, lucky that a good pilot was on duty that day. same as the other comments, i've noticed my rear wheels come off the ground a few times in similar situations, although it's hard to tell how far when inside the van. and judg...

Re: Pemberton Music Festival July 25-27

i'll be there, we're filling the matador and driving up from squamish - and doing the group camping thing. it will be a full on gong show and i am looking forward to it. last time i saw the hip was in ontario when they were touring with another roadside attraction, and by all accounts i had a good t...

Re: What Is the Perfect Tool Kit?

For on the road (or off road), zap straps, tire sealant, baling wire, and i've found that a flexible screwdriver attachment comes in pretty handy sometimes.
cheers,

Re: Floating "lino" floor

I like it! I ripped out the carpets too, and a trip to End of The Roll for a soundproof underlay, some plywood for the subfloor, and another trip to the ReStore resulted in this....along with some beers and a jigsaw. Much easier to keep clean, and since I don't have my own house, I have to settle fo...

Re: black bull bars

I had white bars, and spent an hour and a half of sanding them down, then spray bombed them flat black with tremclad.
Pretty basic, but looks good, and cheap.

Re: your Delica so far?

pretty much the same experience as everyone else. bought mine at 74k, now at 99k. lots of road trips, wheeling and carrying big loads, and so far the only work needed was a new sway bar bushing, new brake caliper, and 3 glow plugs.
that's it. love the beast.

Biodiesel in Squamish?

I just moved to Squamish, and have been trying to track down a biodiesel source. Besides Vancouver, and an article about a potential "Squamish Valley Gas Station" from 2007 and their municipal vehicle project, I haven't been able to find anything online. Any info. would be great, I'm hopin...

Re: Searching for wisdom from delica owners.

hey Adrock, never having met you, i can still relate. i'm on my second career already and i'm 29. i did and still do work as a sea kayak guide, among other "outdoor sports". the pros of working as a guide are: -you're outside every day all day, and physically active -you meet interesting p...
