Re: Buying a used L400
The "wheel base's" are the same for both, the longer is longer after the axle, quite noticeable actually. Falco, I think he refered to the two just fine...ours is the SWB-short wheel base.

Re: Winter!!!!
Well, starts great, one glow cycle at -5c and presto! Would have been 3xglow cycle and still puffed out a tonne of white(raw fuel) for about 10 seconds. Great so far!

Re: Winter!!!!
I agree with prairiefire, just bought 4 ngk cz256(replaces cy55) I will update but I'm sure they will outlast both the warranty ones(from amazing-8 months) and the hyundai's-6 months, CVI recomended to use them last year and I went the cheap route. I will update how the NGK cz256 do.

Re: Rad is about to burst.
Changed out the thermostat and the rad today, thermo definitely looked beat up. Everything else looked absolutely fine, fluid was good to -40, and all hoses looked good(changed out both rad hoses anyhow)

Rad is about to burst.
As the title says, it appears our rad is about burst. Noticed a drip, got under it and noticed the sides of the rad are swelling outwards...new rad about 45k ago, warms up in the same time as always and the gauge site as per usual, and in the summer the temp started to climb on the Coq(gauge reflect...

Re: Still having cold start problems..??
Who did your seal? I had to take my van back to the shop twice for timing afterwards...even though they swore up and down the timing was set to "factory specs". In the end, it had to be advanced a bit...I still get a puff of raw fuel when starting at operating temp, I just couldn't give th...

Part number for shocks
Good morning friends, I have spent quite a lot of time searching out par numbed for the l400 front shocks, no luck crossing the OE #. I have no interest in running pro comp/rancho...I've seen Monroe etc referenced by members, can anyone share a specific number for a non ecs 94 l400? Thank you, Brad.

Re: l400 smoking after idling for 5 min
Hard to say from here...but it sounds like your hot idle needs to be increased. Your van has a cold and a hot idle, look for your throttle cable and back off the jam nut and increase your idle until she smooths out(while it's running after it starts running rough)
Good luck,
Brad.
