Middle row, jump seat removal

Good day, folks. I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck removing the little jump seat that folds down in the middle row. I'm looking at an L400 that i really like but I don't like the middle row set up. I'm going from an L300 with captains chairs to this new set up. If this works out I think I wou...

L300 written off

Good day folks. My van is gone. Had a single vehicle accident last week and the van is written off. I'm pretty banged up but really lucky to be ok in the long run. It was a 92 L300, had 375,000 KM on it and ran like a champ. (a really slow champ). I had the van for over 10 years. I'm thinking about ...

Headlight light bulbs

Honestly, I don't know if they are 55 or not. They are from Canadian tire, Certified brand H3 bulbs. They don't mention anything regarding watts. I'll have to check the wiring as well. I know that there are a few too many things connected to my battery. Not sure what they do. Wonder if that might ha...

Headlight light bulbs

Do you folks also find yourselves changing light bulbs in your headlights every four to five months? I keep a stash of H3's in my cold box. Am I the only one?

ICBC express locations

Has anyone had any good experiences with any of the ICBC express locations? I have been given the go ahead to have my van repaired. But I'm not quite sure who to take my van to. It has to be an ICBC approved shop, so that excludes some of our regular garages.

Thanks.

How do you keep the revs in the correct range going up hill in automatic?

That's what I do. Take it off overdrive and the let your rpm's dictate your speed.
Slow and steady.

L300 Rear-ended on the I5

Good day, folks. Got into the states yesterday afternoon and 20k into the trip (headed to Oregon) we got hit from behind. We're all ok. The Camry that hit us is wrecked! Our bumper in bent 90 degrees down and our hatch won't open. Other than that we're fine. So, what kind of shit storm can I expect ...

Air conditioning.

Does anyone use it? In the 6/7 years I have had my van I have never charged the a/c unit. It seems like too large a volume of air to be cooled by such a little system. Does it work well? Is it worth having?

Re: Camping with kids

I'm in the same boat, jester. Looking for good close-ish place to camp with my 6 year old daughter. I'm going to try Jones lake next month. I've heard good things about it. Have you been? Anyone else have something to say about Jones?

Re: 4D56T Mileage

I'm at 310 000. No major issues yet. I'm getting a bit of squeal, maybe from a bearing in a belt pullie. But that's about it (engine related anyway).

Re: Replacing headlight.

I couldn't get the wiring harness apart. And I dropped one of the 10mm bolts into the abyss. But all is well. I remembered undoing it last time, so I got a bit stuck this time when the harness wouldn't come free. But like you said, it's easy enough to reach the bulb with the harness still connected.

Replacing headlight.

Hello. I'm in the midst of changing my front headlight. I have the plastic trim off, that houses the side light, and I have all of the screws out so that the light assembly is "free". I need to disconnect the lighting harness to take the light completely out so to change the bulb. But I ca...
