Re: Delica in Quebec!?!

Isn't that something, I would have thought all delica owners know about this site, and would go look right away. I saw no sign of recognition either, I was honking little bit, but no wave or anything. Oh well.
I also saw a Pajero near cobourg in the countryside. How nice.

Delica in Quebec!?!

So we live in Ontario, and drove our Delica up to Maniwaki north of Ottawa in Quebec Last weekend. And on the way home ( August 3rd) we gave this lady a lift. Just as she says "...you have a nice bus" what do we see coming towards us, but a Delica. My first one since BC. I honked frantical...

Re: replacing curtains

Maybe my magnets aren't strong enough, I got those thin coin-like ones from the dollar store.
Also people ( especially little ones) always pull on the curtains and then the magnets will fall down and hide behind a bench post. Somehow it's just not as strong as it needs to be.

Re: replacing curtains

My deli came with only hatch curtains, So I started experimenting a little bit. Tried strong magnets, doesn't work so well. Made just simple curtains out of cotton, sowed the edges in. But in Medicin Wheel colors , yes hippie bus all right. Anyways right now I just pinch the corners in the sliding w...

Re: Top Speed

I just drove Nelli across this big-ass country, and going over 100km/h doesn't feel right to her. 95 is good. 100 is @ 3000 Now she is manual,ey, and I noticed the rpms don't drop as much going from 4th to 5th as they do with all the other steps Isn't it strange that they wouldn't make that 5th gear...

Moving Nelly to Ontario

Hi We are planning to drive back home to Ontario soon. How many Delis have made that move? Ontario Delica meetings? And what's to be expected officially? Inspections and such? I would like to go WVO before the trip. How do WVO kits do in inspections? Do relocated spare tires need to be fastened in a...

Van Isle line and gasket conversion?

Hello,
now that there is a biodiesel pump in the cowichan, I really wanna put it in.
But I need my seals and lines changed first, right?
Is there a place on the island that does that, or do I have to ship my injection pump someWHERE?
thanks for the help

no glowplugs for cold start-help?

So Nelli has been not clicking after sitting for like a day. But sometimes she does, and when she's only been resting for a few hours, she always clicks and is happy. I read some threads about people haing to start without glowing, but always. I only havve to do it sometimes. You guys think it's sti...

glow plug disorder (GPD)

Sometimes Nelli does this thing where I turn the key to the on position, and instead of the usual clic on clic off sounds she goes cliclicliclicliclic and doesn't stop. THen I turn her off, on again, and she doesn't do anything. After a little break she's okay again and follows the normal procedure....

insulating wvo pipes?

I was advised the other day to have a second heater just before the injection pump, cause otherwise the oil would cool down by the time it traveled from the WVO tank to the engine. Could one insulate the pipes instead, like done with hot water pipes? Insulating the tank seems reasonable too, ddoes i...

Re: May seem like an odd question but...

I stuck my nose inside a truck that had the veggie tank in the passeenger space, and it smelled pretty bad. In vehicles it definitely sticks.
I have no experience withfilter setups. curious to know though

Re: Trade roof rack, hi for lo?

The rack I was speaking of consists of just two separate bars that clamp onto those little edges along the side. One still has the original plastic knob for tightening on one side , all other sides have just a nut. Sorry I don't have a camera. You Paul are probably talking about one of those big cag...
