Rear heater cooling the engine coolant?
I have removed the entire pipe system from both front and rear heater and my L300 runs great. The weather has been 35c-95f and my inline hose temp sensor has read up to 100c-212f on some long mild inclines then stabilises at around 80-85 when highway cruising. I put in a brand new 3 core rad from eb...

Trying to check for exhaust restriction
I had a 2' straight through system for a while and it was too loud for me. Cops pulled me over and gave me a defect notice for excessive noise along with a couple of other things. I got a resonator put on which did quieten it down a little but it is still quite loud if you floor it. Next time I woul...

Check your viscous fan with the ole rolled up newspaper trick. My L300 was running hot last week, threw a tube of oil in the fan and it fixed her right up.

My mate fit a 90's Mitsy mirage wheel on his L300. Bolted straight on, so I assume other Mitsy models are compatible.

Re: Air conditioning.
I gutted my entire AC along time ago. Front and back. There is a lot of junk to pull output but I don't regret it. Makes for more room in the engine bay, less junk up the front. I even stripped the water lines for the rear heater. I like simplicity.

Tightened alternator belts, car runs cooler
Tightened my alternator belts up yesterday , they were a little bouncy watching them at idle. Now my head temp is running 3-5 degrees cooler overall. I always hesitated tightening them up because it always felt like a chore. Now I have worked out how to do it all from the engine bay with out too muc...

Re: lower rad hose
Make sure you put some extra padding around the hose where it rubs on the alternator bracket , it can wear through over time.

Re: 93 l300 coolant air lock - air bleed bolt location.
If its 4d56 diesel pretty sure it doesn't have a bleed bolt.
I just run the engine with out the rad cap off for 10-20 mins, that should get rid of any air pockets.
