Yeah - no rush at all. And sounds like you won't have difficulty selling a few extras if you make them!!!!
Tks for taking this up.

Re: Skid plate, pictures...
Thank you to everyone.........
I should have the test fit model to try on delicat's (awesome) white delica early next week ! Also if someone is serious about strong underbelly protection and is willing to come to surry so i can take pictures and measurements........I can start drawing up some ideas for bolt on plates for the other bits.....
I think the diamond plate (aluminum) ones are going to look awesome. I can't wat to get the first ones cut on the plasma table !! Until then go out and enjoy your delica's ......you lucky buggers who have them !!!!
Maybe in a couple more months i will have my saga sorted out and be able to have my dream van !!! (if i can get most of my money back)
namaste....

If we have the meet Saturday morning fishslapper you should come and meet us but even better I can also go pick you up in the morning so you can meet the rest of us and deal with some of the measurements.
I'll call you later this week.

Re: Skid plate, pictures...
I have a few ideas re: the underbelly plate. Perhaps we can compare notes and come up with a cool design. I haven't had time this week to get under the van to do some measuring and sus out mounting points... preparing for new carpets at the house (what a job).
My thoughts were to bend up a sort of u-shaped plate that runs along the middle of the van, front to back... or back to front (if you're weird like me) to provide protection to all of the bits along the way. Could be a very simple thing but aesthetically cool and aggressive looking (not to mention functional).
Just a little over committed at the moment. Next week is more reasonable for free time. Might be able to sketch the idea at least before hand, then post it. Would love to participate somehow.

Re: Skid plate, pictures...
Jaggedfish, don't know if you could make it Saturday but it might be a good time to go over your ideas. If not, I'll let you know when I go visit Fishslapper who doesn't live too far from you.
But I'd be very interested in getting the second part of this project going sometimes this summer...

Re: Skid plate, pictures...
Finally... have my internet back... carpets still going in. I will see about the Saturday thing... I'm assuming this is a meet posted on the Lower Mainland section... did I miss something... again? I will check.
Will definitely get something on paper very soon.
Yes... if I don't make it on Saturday... definitely let me know and I will set aside some time when you're in the 'hood. I look forward to it.
Cheers!
Ian
Edit... okay checked about Saturday... now I see it... will see if I can beg off of husband duty and join in.

Re: Skid plate, pictures...
Fishslapper just sent me the template design so that you can all have an idea of what it's gonna look like. We should be able to get the first one out this week to see how it fits. More to come!

Re: Skid plate, pictures...
hi, wow its good,
with mitsubishi logo in the top its good.
also maybe we could have another design to put mtsubishi logo in the bottom. as a sign of mitsubishi.
then i think its probably better let see how it looks when you put another mits sign in the middle instead of round holes.
then will see what other member will say about the design.
i like it, it good. Thanks you David & fishslapper for all the hard work.
keep in the good work,
Cheers;

Re: Skid plate, pictures...
I would be interested in a plate for sure, let me know what the final price and whatnot details are. If it's reasonable I'm in.
Regarding the skid plates on the fuel tanks, they seem to do the trick. Mine has a huge smash in it from the previous owner and the tank sustained no damage.

Re: Skid plate, pictures...
hi folks.....
I am still doing this. i just thought i would give you an update...
I lost a close friend last week......it's my girls first birthday and i have the inlaws from out of town here........ so.......
i did get one cut out.... i just need to get it bent and then i will test fit it. If all is well i will make a bunch and everyone will be happy. I am thinking about axing the steel ones and just making the aluminum ones. They are lighter still strong as heck and don't need to be painted.... They will be 3/16th checker plate.
thank you all once again.......talk soon....
