Replaced the crankshaft pulley. When it was running it looked like it had a huge wobble and from the pictures you will be able to see why. It had started to separate on one side and it was actually not even spinning properly. New one from Amazon was a direct fit and now the squeaking is all gone!

How many KM on your L400?
Yeah- I think it was just regular wear and tear. I have about 190 000 km on mine, and I bought it with 106 000. So it was probably about time.
