Tall guy in a low roof
I can't seem to find the actual interior height difference for either the L300 or L400.
Does anyone else 6'4" or higher have any experience (good or bad) with driving while in a Low Roof Delica?
Thanks!

Re: Tall guy in a low roof
I don't know the exact interior height but the L400 has a lot more 'stretchable' leg room and the seat goes back quite a bit.
Friend of mine who owns a lowroof L400 is 6'6 and he found it more roomy for his legs than his previous L300.
I would try to sit in both as they are very different seating positions.
L300 is more upright like an office chair because of the cabover design
L400 is more like a modern driver's car seat where you can extend your legs in front of you

I'm almost 6'5" and have a low roof L-300 - Head room is not a problem at all. I did remove that foot rest thing though so I can extend my left foot.
Happy Day!

Re: Tall guy in a low roof
I'm 6'5" and I drive a highroof L300, there could be more legroom but I've driven worse. I just drove 2690km (not all at once, the longest stretch was for about 9 hours) and I was comfortable enough. The headroom on a highroof is GLORIOUS though.

Re: Tall guy in a low roof
depends if you have a long trunk or long legs...
i am long in the trunk and found the low roof to be acceptable and the high roof with sunroof to be cramped...
the highroof with no sunroof is really nice.

Thanks for all the advice. I am going to drive a low roof and a high roof tomorrow so I will know first hand what is up soon.

It is a bit tight but I do fit into the Low Roof. So I bought it. Again, I can't wait to take possession and get on the road!

Re: Tall guy in a low roof
I'm 6'6" and will be getting a High roof with sun roof. I'm mostly leg (37" inseam) Have been in an l300 low roof, could not handle it. L400 has been tested and it was good. Not the best I've been in but good enough that I've bought. I plan to mod the seat, have it go back further and may even off set it toward the middle slightly. This shouldn't be hard to do and will post once done. I drove an old style beetle for many years. Sport steering wheel was the answer there as it made getting in and out a breeze. I plan to do the same with the L400 as well. I drive Winnipeg to Kelowna 1-3x's/ year so I wouldn't buy unless it fit me OK.
