Rifles, guns, armor (tanks/apcs) are all American supplied. They supplied the Iraqi army, but when the Isil forces came through many defected or simply left all equipment and ran. I believe an entire army force simply joined the IS (Iraqi 4th army, I believe).

Ah yes, 1605. Interesting prospect.
