Post your other non-JDM unique world import

There are a lot of makes and models outside of Japan that have never been sold here in North America.

Would love to see what you guys have alongside your Delica's and Pajero's.

Let's see yours !

Here's one that will hopefully stay in the family. A Citroen 2CV. Every unique vehicle comes with a story. It was bought in England for a purpose by my brother-in-law's father who has been battling cancer.

The full story : http://colincraythorne.blogspot.com/

His goal was to drive from east to west across Canada in the little 2CV and hand off the keys to his son along with raising awareness for cancer research.

Now it resides in Whistler alongside of a 95 L400 Chamonix. Two very unique rigs.

They are both RHD's to boot !

The simplicity and very unique suspension of this rig is simply out of this world.

These are the famous 'car that will drive across a plowed field and not break an egg in the passenger seat'. Google it for a good laugh !

Sia (little niece) loves it although she's a little too young to reach the pedals. Maybe in a few years.

The 2CV has some beautiful lines. It just screams 'painters flowing canvas on wheels'.

Sia : Can I drive ? Please ?

Mom : not yet ! *smiles gone*

Nice looking 2CV. I have to go drive mine ffrom Houston, BC to Prinnce Rupert some time this week. I should sell my little Tin Snail, but I love it more that my Delica. The Citroen 2CV is perhaps the best car ever designed. In 1930, the origanl design specs called for an average economy of 90 mpg. In mine I get 70 mpg puttering around and about 50 mpg on the highway. The air cooled flat twins love to spin and are really reliable. The Charleston of your brother in laws features two tone paint and extra chrome.

Mine looks like this:

They never did get 90 mpg. But the are pretty close all things considered. By all accounts Andre Citroen was quite adamant about certain things. Probably why they went broke and Michelin eventually bought them, and now Puegeot is the current owner. The glory days are long gone, but the Traction Avant and DS Series and 2CV are all great products of Citroen in its prime.
