Had an accident...

Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

And their risk management person. At the very least they should cover the difference between what ICBC will pay you and the replacement cost.

Could ICBC be your ally here too? They fund road safety and presumably have no interest in more people hitting poorly designed obstacles. They would know how many others have hit it.

Anyway, I'm glad no one was hurt. :-D

That's a great idea Chris! Thanks. I will do that. I have to go out to Langley soon anyway. :)

your link should work well enough for a photo.

Get a letter from someone saying the pole did not have the yellow black sign (this shows the city recognizes putting a telephone pole in the middle of the road maybe a problem!)

I am really not pleased to learn that it would be such a simple fix to pull that pole down and make it safer there...
Knew I'd be the bearer of bad news, but sure couldn't help but think that in the US of sue it would be enough for liability; you know the kind where the plaintiff fakes whip lash.

If it was left in the street it should have been marked like it was in the street AND have a traffic barrier of some kind; like the pole nearest the intersection.

Somebody aught to take a chainsaw out there & cut the pole! :-D :-D Just kidding, I know that would land that someone in prison, & no one wants that!!!

I know that the Hwy people smoke a lot of weed, but that pole is ridiculous even for a stoner. Let's just leave a pole in the middle of the road? Why ever not? Probably designed by the same people did the southbound on-ramps to the Lions gate bridge.
