Cariboo Delifest 2007

Post by docsavage »

Greeting Fellow Delica Drivers,

I would like to invite everyone up for a meet the weekend of July 7th, 2007. Josh, BCDelica and myself have planned a bit of a WVO conversion and 4wd excursion. I would invite everyone to attend. There is lots of lakefront camping available in my yard. Please reply to this thread with your confirmation. As the time draws nearer, a map to my house will be provided.

Come out and enjoy the glory of BC's Cariboo and take part in the conversion to WVO of at least one Delica.

Count me in.

As I was explaining in an earlier thread my family and I will be travelling from the North Island up to Quesnel to visit my wife's family for three weeks or so. The 7th will work perfectly for me to meet up with you guys. That is if you can tear me away from my favorite store (after Princess Auto). Can anybody guess what it is? There are only three of them in the world, that I am aware of, and one of them happens to be in Wiiliam's Lake.

I look forward to meeting you all

James,

I'm down with that.

Thanks for the invite James, hope lots of the Deli gang attend!

Ok Andy, is it Cariboo Spring service for a lift, kidding. I was thinking Surplus Herby's, but there's only two of those so I'm stumped.

Cheers,
Kevin

I would say Tasco - it and Acklands are my favorite for building stuff. Otherwise, it's Red Shreds for everthing else.

Look forward to meeting you Andy, and seeing Josh and Kevin again.

i'd be there in a second guys but I got a jobu p here in kimberley for the summer, and there is no fast way to make that journey for a weekend.

Not with those tires.

Kimberley for the summer, sounds great, better then the lower rainland. Pretty much in the Rockies, must be some great backcountry to explore.

yeah, already went up to a spot where the river was overflowing and drove around in water deeper than the body. Thats tough with the height of my van haha. Hopefully i'll find some people up here into climbing, i've got all my stuff, but no one to climb with.

If anyone is headed east I'd love to meet up, I could definitely do lake louise for a weekend or the banff/jasper thing, except i won't be here until next summer.... well, maybe I will.

Lots of nice climbing here on the Island, especially around Nanaimo. Give me a shout next time you are over here. I'm climbing 2-3 times a week right now, only been outside once this year so far though. Gotta make sure you hit Skaha on your way east for a few days at least, so many nice climbs there. Jasper is a very cool spot to climbing, we used to hit it several times a summer when I lived in Prince George. Lost Boys has excellent rock and a nice little hike in.

Mitch,

To bad you can't come. It would have been great to have you there. Who knows, maybe you can haul down there after the mountainbike comp?

I'm gonna say that I am in. Not sure if I can drag others but at least we can have some fun along the way.
