Stop obsessing about the other cars in the rearview mirror. If you don't look at them, they aren't there. :?

Too bad we don't have a gorram Ikea here on the Island. Or a bloody bridge! And we need some new furniture about the house - don't know what, but we need some. Have a good meet, wish I could be there. :-D

You're absolutely right! I think it was the smoke from the forest fires making me light headed, plus being passed by a loaded semi bruised my ego a bit. I still love my mr happy (that's not a euphemism). However, I am a lot more intrigued by the L400's than I used to be, and it will probably be my next vehicle, but not any time soon.

Not sure of the schedule yet as the show is starting to ramp up again. Sometimes I work late, although I suspect I won't be on Friday, in which case I will drive there straight from work. Make a point to bring a change of clothes... smiles.

Hey all
Well just a side note - for all those interested in the L400's. I was talkin to marty from amazing auto in richmond ( not sure if you all know him - he is the best guy around for anything delica - plus he's just an awesome guy) anyways he was mentioning that headlights are almost $1000 for the new style 94's.
Just something to keep in mind. Apparently thay are quite a bit quicker tho. Which as we all know would be advantageous at times! :D but I wouldn't give up my 93 for anything. Anyways just thought to mention it in case anyone is looking to import their own 94.

Regards,
Matt

If you are going near or through downtown this afternoon, keep in mind that today is Critical Mass, so some streets downtown will be mired with cyclists intentionally clogging streets and causing problems. (I'm a lifelong cyclist so I'm allowed to be annoyed by this embarrassing spectacle)

I've found the best approach to downtown lately is to avoid it completely, going several KM out of my way to go around it always ends up being faster. Especially when things like this are going on.

How does this relate to the event? I wish we had an 'off-topic' smiley.

Thanks for the heads up Coaxial, Profister is just jealous he's going hot springing and won't be able to up his blood pressure driving around D/T. 8-)

And I left work early too - guess I won't be able to try out my newly Rhino Line painted Bambi bars. Not only to they repell idiots , but take a good whack of skin in the process. Anyone need their nails filed ?

See you all at the Ikea meet - I'm finally going to finish the last door card in the Ikea parking lot tonight. Jay Jay, Hope yu have yur inverter hooked up as I may need to flash up my Dremel tool to trim.

Sorry Coaxial, actually I replied to Matt Curran's post which was off topic.
Yes, Golf Cart was right: I was tearing myself apart but decided to go to Meager Creek HS to organize an alternative Delica micro-meet. How about that? So far I did not see any pictures from "IKEA COCUITLAM", so to go off topic myself I am posting my micro-meet pictures hoping that moderators don't mind as usually and the community might consider this idea for the next meet! :-D
On the pictures below, the attendees: my wife Sima, myself, my fried Alex and his dog Ganesh. Also you can see the gatekeeper power washing one of the pools.
All I can say is that the 2-day meet was a complete success with hot pools, cold beer, warm red wine and tasty fried lamb meals!
Let's do it again together! :M
