Re: Switch above gas release lever

Looks like the little light that highlights the "PRESS" marker on the shifter has burned out, and I just saw it barely in a difference in color on the shifter. Until I saw this, and figured out how to get it into 4X4 low I was certain that feature was broken on my Deli! ) Your shifter is il...

and lynex the roof.
I think you'll be the first to do it to a crystal-lite roof, let us know how it goes, and post some pics when you're done!

Re: Switch above gas release lever

On my L400 there are 3 switches there, depending on what options you have as to what switches you have: left switch: "A/T mode", this changes your transmission between "power" "normal" and "hold" modes (power holds a gear longer for more power on acceleration, normal is just that "normal", and hold ...

Re: To glow or not to glow.

You'll probably have to take a volt meter or test light and start tracing things to see where the voltage does and doesn't exist. ie: - do you have power on the bus-bar linking the plugs (if so, the plugs may be defective) - if you don't have that, do you have power on output of the relays under the...

Re: Delica ownership realistically

Cold starting has never been a problem for me in either my L300 or L400, and while both have been equipped with block heaters, the nature of many of my trips gives me no warning, and therefore no chance to use them. Both vehicles have started down to bellow -20c without any additional heating. In Ca...

That sounds a little steep, when I was looking in to them a few years ago for my L300 it looked like around $1000-1200 including install.

Re: L300 vs. L400

This weekend I spent a day in Erebus' L300, and I had forgotten how little room there is for the front passenger in those things compared to the L400, I also found the middle row captain's chairs much less comfortable than on the L300. Umm, did you mean 2nd row is less comfortable in the L300 or le...

Re: L400 Headlight Lenses - Ecode - Glass - $380/Pair

most mercedes you can replace the lens only, so no question about leagalities. This isn't a Mercedes, and these assemblies are not designed for replaceable lenses, the ratings on the lights are for the entire assembly, no compliance testing is done on components, only on the whole assembly. As such...

Re: L300 vs. L400

Based on lots of time in Green1s L300 and L400, and lots of time in my own L300 ... I find the front passenger seat: L300 has less leg room, more foot room. 2nd row captain's chairs: L300 more comfortable 3rd row bench: L300 more comfortable For example, at car rallies, doing radio net control with...

With respect, you are totally incorrect and in the interest of our members' safety I'm going to correct you. No, I was completely correct. You however are only half correct. You describe one possible method, not the only one. (I described both possibilities in my original post, only one of which yo...

Re: L400 Headlight Lenses - Ecode - Glass - $380/Pair

As the L400 headlights are reflector lights and not projectors, the glass lens does all of the aiming, so this should do everything quite nicely.

Technically I have a feeling this may not be fully legal, but it certainly follows the spirit of the law, if not the letter.

Re: Pajero dashboard warning lights question

you either have 3 completely unrelated issues (unlikely) or the common charging system issue, my L300 did exactly that when my cranskshaft pulley failed (belt no longer spinning the alternator) check that your belts and pulleys are tight, if they are, check that the alternator is good, and all elect...
