Frame Rust - Looking for advice
Thanks @growlerbearnz I definitely am not in any position to attempt a repair like those fellows in the UK... and to make it worse, I found another massive hole on the rear DS chassis as well when I was hopelessly grinding away surface rust this afternoon in the blazing sun. Do you know anyone or an...

Frame Rust - Looking for advice
Hi, I crawled under my van today to tackle what I thought was some surface rust & discovered that rust had eaten through the frame. I have the same problem on both sides of the van near the front suspension - sorry dont know the technical term for this part but I've attached a link with pics. Th...

Mounting into ceiling
I'm looking at options for a simple curtain install on my L400 (current velcro setup is not amazing). I'm considering a few options: 1) Snap system > One side of the snap mounted into the ceiling, the other into the curtains. 2) Hook system > like the snaps, find small hooks that can be mounted into...

Re: L400 Bed/Bench
@glenn,@DeliTan,
Those are both quite great. I especially like the one with the bulkhead as you can keep both middle captains chairs and have separate area in the back for storing gear.
thanks alot!

L400 Bed/Bench
I'd like to build a fairly simple folding or sliding bench/bed for my 95 L400. Plan is to remove the fold-up rear seats but leave the middle captains chairs in place. I'm fairly handy but far from skilled so simple is best... I've searched through the posts here and have found a few interesting L300...

Re: Where should I get my brakes & oil change done?
Alright I will check it out. I work at the lululemon head office on cornwall & cypress... so only a few blocks away. I typically ride my bike to work but when I drive, I park it close to the office as I cant fit my van in our parking lot :(

Re: Where should I get my brakes & oil change done?
thanks nxski. I used to go to Mr. Lube on 2nd & Main when I had my '93 mazda pickup and didn't really care about the service. The one on arbutus is close to my work so maybe I'll check them out.

Thanks for the feedback so far! Well I have no intention of doing my own oil change. Do you guys recommend a place like Mr. Lube??? Recommendations on oil going into a Vancouver winter?

Where should I get my brakes & oil change done?
Hi,
I've always taken my van to CVI for mechanical work but I'm wondering if anyone recommends another shop in Vancouver (for convenience) where I can take her for a brake job and oil change? Maybe 2 different places? Should I just take it to butch for peace of mind?

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. Van seemed to sort itself out and now seems to switch properly between all of the 4x4 settings. I learned alot from this post!

Will an L300 ladder fit an L400?
Hi, I'm desperately searching for a ladder and have come across this guy - http://sunshine.en.craigslist.ca/pts/2365085125.html Unfortunately it's for an L300 and I'm not sure if it will fit on my L400 High roof (PE8W). Anyone know if this will fit? Anyone ever made one of these work on an L400? tha...

Re: Cant get out of 4x4
thanks for the detailed response jfarsang. From what I recall, I have 3 shifting options. The bottom one is my 2wd, which is what I keep it in normally to drive. I drove with the shifter in the top one for about 30-40km. I'm hoping that is the 4H - please excuse my ignorance as I'm quite new to this...
