replaced the passenger side mirror after breaking it on a parked truck mirror. Got pinched when passing a semi on a side street as he was just starting to move when I was half-way by.
Thanks to Rising Sun for having the part on hand.

Glow plug relays
I had the same problem last winter. The relays were good. It turned out my ECU went bad. Yeah! I suppose you can do the bus bar hot-wire trick permanently. I did, but used it as a temp solution. Via Delica.ca I read about Dan at http://www.w1ngselectronics.com/ He can fix the relay most times. Commo...

Weak heater L300
My L300 runs dead cold in winter when going down hills, especially at highway speeds. I never changed the thermostat, but I have been running 2 different rad blockers. 1 down low by the skid pan to block the direct flow of air (especially since the cabs on these tings are so drafty - at least mine i...

Oh! Temptation!
I needed some parts for Shaun (L300). So why not get them in Japan while I'm there? The answer was pretty much a given; Cheaper, OEM and....

Sincerely Considering a 1997 Chamonix, 260+k
All that was said above as well as, when buying any used vehicle, does the previous owner have service records? I've had my L300 for 8 years and I have every scrap of paper that applies to work done. So if I ever sell the next owner will get a pile of receipts. Deli's are fun to drive, worthwhile ow...

Another hard to start in cold temperature question.
For what it's worth.. My L300 is always hard to start in temps below 0c. In -10c it takes probably close to a dozen or more attempts before she fires and wants to run. I assume it's from just being really cold. And it has always smoked on initial start-up (warm or cold). I recently had "No clic...

No Click for Glow Plugs
A month ago I ran into the dreaded "No Click" with my glow plugs. After reading numerous threads regarding G.P. issues I started trouble shooting. I replaced my G.P.'s as they had some big miles on them, replaced the relays as well. Nothing! Boiled it down to temp sensor or ECU. I sent to ...

Got my ECU back from Daniel today (Thank you New Years for making we wait longer than I wanted). Plugged her in and she works a treat now.

Glow Plugs Cycling on and off after engine start fixed with Temp Sensor
I was having a similar issue with my van a month ago ('91 L300). In the middle of one day I noticed that I was getting "No click" at all. But with a warm diesel engine she still fired up. The next day with a cold eng. block, nothing! So I read through all the threads about the possibilitie...

Cold Weather Road Trip in an L300
As mentioned in another post; " I've installed a windblock on my vehicle. I got a piece of thin gauge sheet metal at Home Depot (it was actually the exact measurement I needed, so no cutting req.) did some strategic bending, drilled 4 holes and one cut to fit around a frame member, and "PR...

Rough, Smokey Starts
My L300 is always like that on cold days. White smoke with a touch of black for good measure. Especially below zero. It can take a few tries (make sure you have a good battery). When it fires I usually pump the pedal a few times to make sure she's good then just let her idle. I assumed this is norma...
