Re: freaking bloody oilleak
Hey Chris, Probably telling you what you already know, but the only way to stop an oil leak is to first definitively determine the source. If it was my ride, I'd get a good engine degreaser spray, take it down to a proper car wash place, spray the degreaser everywhere to clean up the engine and then...

Re: Another 'what's that sound' question
Wow, four months for me to get my shyte together and tighten the alternator - new record. Chirp is now dead. Was pretty straight forward took maybe 40 mins? Jacked up driver side, put a stand under. Tried going at it from the side but the angle of the adjuster bolt was too tight. Managed to just rea...

Re: Plywood sleeping platform - but how to remove slivers
Thanks guys, I routered a roundover edge around the perimeter, worked pretty well, but the seperating is a little more advanced. Sanded everything and it's pretty smooth. I like the idea of the plastic edges. Maybe I'll do something simliar but a 4-5" wide piece. Planning to do a couple coats o...

Plywood sleeping platform - but how to remove slivers
Hey guys, made my first crude folding sleeping platform with a 6' piano hinge.
However, near the one end, some of the 3/4 inch plywood surface is spintering/lifting.
Is there a way to remedy this? Other than covering the ends in Red Green style duct tape?
Steve

Re: headed to banff, need a couple tips please & thanks
If you're going to Lk Louise, I'd recommend taking Hwy 1A (Bow Valley Parkway - get on just past Banff townsite while on the Trans_Can) up to Lk Louise townsite. It's a slower 2 lane road - wildlife including Grizzly if you do it early morning/evening. Can also stop at Johnston Canyon along the way ...

Re: 1992 Delica: Cuts Out then Restarts Immediately?
Hey John, Could be your ignition - I'd try jiggling the keys as it's running in park to see if you can replicate the cutting out. Could be your fuel pump solenoid - I only say this because I remember a post on here a while back mentioning there's an solenoid related to the fuel pump that if it short...

Re: Fixing the dash clear plastic... help
There's the one in the brake fluid reservoir, there's obvious ones right in the front of the dash, then you have one in behind the hazard switch.
If you gently wedge a knife or screw driver behind the switch plate the whole switch pops out and there's a screw or bolt there you can remove.

Jesse- that's awesome! Would you consider selling plans?
I'm decent at carpentry but lousy at the engineering.
Would be serious about paying you for some plans if you'd consider it!?
My wife saw your pictures and said "now that's what we need!"
