Huge shout out to Butch and the boys at CVI

I know it has been said on here many times but the JDM following in the lower mainland is truly fortunate to have Butch and the CVI boys in town. It has been many years since I parted ways from the delica, but since then I have owned a hilux surf and more recently a hilux quad cab 2.8. When I bought...

Re: Coolant gurgling

At 190 lbs and 6'2" I can hit 63 on the flats, 60 if it's cold and I'm wearing a puffy jacket! Nice thing about the 2strokes is that the mods are endless. Mine is stock, but a friend has the same scooter and he put on a 250 dollar pipe, hits 75 on the flats now. The bws is a super stable well b...

Re: Coolant gurgling

I have a 2008 Yamaha bws 50. It rules, 2 stroke is where it's at, and you can score a minty one in the lower mainland for around 1500. I also had a Yamaha c3 50 , but the bws is far superior!! Brap

Re: And They Say Delicas Are Top Heavy....

Doesn't matter how top heavy you are in that situation if you are limited to 86 hp. Swap a 4d56 into that jeep and the front end would have never left the ground!! In fact, it may not have even moved!! From the looks of it these guys should be limited to >90hp anyways..... if it were a toyota I woul...

Re: Choosing the right overland vehicle

Not just for overland travel but day to day driving! :-D I totally understand what you're saying, different strokes for different folks. I have driven a fiat uno all over northern brazil and on our adventures we ran into a fe...

Re: Choosing the right overland vehicle

sweet jesus. The act of exploring the world and all its cultures by car, while having all the luxuries of home and a capitalist culture at your fingertips baffles me.

interesting link though, a guide of how to remove adventure and overplan everything!

Re: TD Performance mods

Muffler shops for the pyro bung to be welded in. I prefer pre-turbo at the exhaust manifold but an easy install is drill/weld post-turbo just after the exhaust flange on the pipe. You'll get a difference of 200F that you will need to account for when reading the gauge. My delica was post turbo, my ...

Re: TD Performance mods

Pyro - IS A MUST agree 100%. Another good point that is brought up often when talking about small diesel engines is that there is a point when the delivery of fuel stops accelerating the van forward and instead does nothing but create heat. The egt tells you exactly when this happens. This is massi...

Re: Whistler 'eco-friendly' ? Asphalt plant. Need help plea

with that said, a good chunk of the village stroll at the base of whis is built ontop of an even older landfill. It hurts my brain every day to see how much needless waste is produced from whistler.

Re: Whistler 'eco-friendly' ? Asphalt plant. Need help plea

Whats with the picture "accident no ticket" That looks to be just a normal CVSE (DOT) check. I drive a garbage truck in whistler, they are not an uncommon site. So. fact. The athletes village is built on the old whistler landfill. Located along the west side of the land is a massive ditch ...
