New to Delicas and trading up!

Hi Guys, we all had similar debates before buying. I have L300, but driven friends 400s. Having led dozens of delica group camping trips, here's my take. Diesel is perfect, but reluctant to start in cold weather unless plugged in to electric for half hr prior to starting ... snow camping when alone ...

Re: WTB L300 ECU - Motherboard

Hi Denis, just take your existing board to an old tv repair man, or a ham radio old guy. Someone who is used to old style electronics. They can just look at the board, instantly see which component is bubbled and burnt, then look at that part for a product code, and solder in a replacement part. Lau...

Re: Shakes Vibrate Automatic Trasmission

Hi Denis, a few things to think about, in my suggested order to think about, without sitting in it is hard to know: Dirty air filter, the prime cause of rough idle and slow response in L300's. I suggest replace every month or two. truly, honestly, the miracle cure. Look at the rubber mounts for the e...

Re: Selling off all Delica Accessories

Hi Nick, you are so right about the air filter being the easiest thing to change to make the L300 run happily, smoother idle, and better fuel use. If the K&N is still available, I would like it. I can meet you in coquitlam, or Lougheed Mall, or you could drop it off at the TardisDeli Motel anytime. ...

Re: Dual Battery System

HI Triumph73, Very nicely done wiring job, and so easy to troubleshoot later. You should write up a parts list, and a few more photos, as forum has little posted on L400 dual battery. Just a reminder to all: check often that the battery terminals are tight, as Delica's manage to loosen the bolts qui...

Re: Rad fluid leak, on driver side of engine.

I vote it is from the AC Air Conditioner, if it was on. The condenser coils get frosty-cold when in use, and when you park and turn off the engine then the frost melts and becomes a puddle of water. If it were a coolant leak, look at the "coolant overflow bottle" when engine is cold (ie after parked...
