Delica in Clearwater

I had technical problems in Clearwater last summer, and in the course of resolving them, I heard that there was a Delica owner living in Clearwater. Just wondering if you're active on this forum.

Login - Over, and over, and over...

It's like Kate and Anna McGarrigle! I've been having this problem lately that the site asks me to log in, when I've already logged in. Especially problematic when I compose a post, and when I hit Submit, I get redirected to a Login page, then my post vaporizes. I've taken to copying the post to the ...

What did you do TO your Delica today?

I replaced the clear, aftermarket tail lights that came with the van with stock ones.

Automatic Car Washes

I found the automatic car washes don't do a good job on vans; They're designed for sedans. I feel like I spent eight bucks and still need to wash my van.

I bought a truck brush and a bucket, for when I can't find a truck wash.

There's also these things called Helicoils. You drill the hole larger, cut threads with the supplied tap, then insert this stainless steel spring to end up with threads the original size.

What did you do TO your Delica today?

I swapped out the aftermarket, clear-lens tail lights that came with it and put in some stock lights, with regular amber turn signals.

Clear Lens Tail Lights $20

These were in my L300 when I bought it second hand, and I've replaced them with regular Delica tail lights. I'm told these are fancy-shmancy aftermarket tail lights, to pimp your ride. I've also been told these are not compliant with North American standards. The issue being, turn signals here are s...

L300 For Parts!

What colour is it? I have a green P25 low roof, and I'd like to replace the dented tailgate.

I'm also interested in some little bits: the screws that hold the interior trim, and one of the square plastic thingees that the tail light screws screw into.

Thanks,

- Morgan

Massive Oil Leak

I was up in Clearwater BC a couple of weekends ago, which is half way between Vancouver and Edmonton. On Sunday morning, I filled up with diesel before getting on the highway to drive home to Vancouver, and another patron flagged me down as I was pulling away from the pump: "Hey, you've got a Massiv...

Massive Oil Leak

How did you get at that top banjo bolt? I have to replace my vacuum oil hose, as someone installed it touching the engine block, and it abraded over time (there is equal abrasion on the engine block at that point). I crawled under and had a look, and it seems like I'd have to remove the alternator/o...

Hello from Vancouver, BC

Hey, nice looking van. Welcome to the wonderful world of Delica P25's, the perfect vehicle for enjoying the outdoors in BC. I've camped in some beautiful places, up logging roads made of rocks the size of your head, and the Delica scrambles up without a quibble. If you have a lot of activity gear, i...

4D56 will not start

Yeah, when you shut the engine off, in a gas engine the spark plugs stop making sparks. But in a diesel, it cuts off the fuel, and that makes the engine suddenly stop running. So that fuel shutoff solenoid would be my first suspect.

What did it turn out to be?

Fix: Door Lock Switch

Last winter, my door locks started jumping up and down. Not very often, just from time to time I'd be driving along and they'd go *CLICK*. Okay, something up with that. Then a couple of weeks ago, I came back to the parked van, and the driver's door was locked, but the two on the other side were not...
