I found this in an engineering magazine(thats right, not some bullshit car magazine). All the testing to date has been done on very large mining equipment and rave about its results. take a read and start the usual discussion.

Re: crank pulley problems
I'm having a similar problem with my Mighty Max now... The bolt has completely broken off. It's at the mechanics now but he has no idea where to source a new bolt or even what the original size was since it's so mangled. Any ideas on what I can do? I'm hopping nothing is too badly damaged. The engi...

Re: Another glow plug thread!
I run the 12volts in mine (slightly diff from the delica setup). mine have always taken a while to heat up, 6-7 seconds. even if I hook one up to the battery via jumper cables, it doesn't glow red hot until 6-7 seconds pass. This is when my glow-plug dash light will turn green. I then wait 5 seconds...

Re: Headlight Headaches
I had a problem with my DRL module failing and causing havoc with my lights. one day they would work, the other nothing. I finally just riped the DRL module out. all wiring is as stock with no daytime running lights. If i feel the need for DRL's while driving(foggy, bad lighting, rain etc.), i simpl...

Re: I'm stumped
I've got a crappy homemade oil catch can that is not sealed completely, I'm going to put on a new one I got. Crankcase pressure is still there, although it seems lower than it was in the past(difference may be from valve adjustment). is there a PCV? valve inside the valve cover before it exits or ju...

looking for causes of high fuel consumption, high oil consumption and lack of power. any suggestion will be helpful. thanks for reading all this. fuel consumption was 10.5l/100km a year ago, its currently 13l/100km oil consumption is about 700ml for 3500km, happened just this last oil change, never ...

Re: fuel system leak
update. fuel economy did change for the better for one fill up. went from 12.5l/100km to 11.5l/100km. now it is 13l/100km for the last couple fill ups. I'm confused. The truck has been eating some oil. approx 700ml in 3500km. Part of this is from a bad half moon seal, the rest is burning off only on...

Re: Ontario Insurance Nightmare - No more RH Drives in Ontar
FYI, Desjardins is no longer accepting policies on RHD vehicles. Please expand... I called them on the 14th of September, and they said they were still accepting, though you needed to jump through a bunch of hoops. I just got my truck insured with them pretty much the same date you called them. yes...

Re: Valve Clearances
looks like my valves were way out of wack. I had the following readings at warm cyl1-intake-.006in cyl1-exhaust-.006 cyl2-I-.002 cyl2-E-.007 cyl3-I-.007 cyl3-E-.000 cyl4-I-.002 cyl4-E-.000 All were put to the proper setting of .010in at warm. feels like power is back, fuel economy I will know in a w...
