Dipstick

OK, here's a newbie question that I can't seem to find an answer for; How do I read the engine oil dipstick on a 98 L400 V6? it has two notches on the dipstick and no other markings. Seems like the lower one means it needs oil and the upper might mean its too full? Somewhere in the middle? Help? tha...

Re: Post your call sign's HAM's

Nice. I think I'm going to have to install a fold over on mine. I broke a dual band antenna off of a 4 Runner on a logging road, and it was lower than the Delica is.

Re: Post your call sign's HAM's

I'm assuming that's a fold-over antenna? Or is it a mag mount that you can pull off when the branches get low? :-)

Re: Texada Island

Thanks.

The old quarry that's now a swimming hole? We didn't, but only because we were busy chasing birds. I swam there years ago when I lived in Powell River and used to go to Texada more frequently, and it is spectacular. Definitely worth a visit in the warm season. :-)

Texada Island

A couple of weekends ago my wife and I tried out our new L400 with a camping trip/research project on Texada Island. We spent two nights at the Shelter Point Campground, which is a really nice place to stay, with virtually nobody else around. Other than another couple at the extreme other end of the...

Re: Post your call sign's HAM's

Hello. I'm VE7GYR. I generally operate HF, and like working portable while camping, so I am really looking forward to using the L400 for getting to some new spots around Vancouver island. I'll also be installing a Yaesu FT-7900r in the van this week, for local repeater use. Now all we need is for th...

Greetings From Nanoose

I've been a lurker enjoying this site for several years, but I finally purchased an L400, so I thought I should introduce myself. Purchased the van yesterday after much helpful and generous advice form Graham at Coombs Country Auto. Drove it home, loaded my gear and went to work. Spent today monitor...

Come mid-November, any MLA that votes for the HST deserves to face recall petitions.

I may be interested. How bad is the dent (any photos)?
What exactly is wrong with the sunroof? Is it the front or rear sunroof that's not working.

thanks in advance.

Re: L300 vs. L400

Thanks very much for all of the info guys. It's exactly what I was looking for and very helpful. And thanks for all of the generous offers to sell me your surplus vehicles! ;-) I'll drop by 5 Star sometime this week to check out the white rig. I read somewhere on here that the rear sun roof option ...

L300 vs. L400

Greetings, I'm in the market for a new van to be converted to a camper, and the many Delicas purring around my home turf here in Parksville have me intrigued. I generally live out of a vehicle in the summer while doing field work, so I need something that can carry plenty of gear, and keep me dry a...
