Re: Frame Rust Repair?
I've had a conversation or two with Butch at CVI regarding the frame rust on my rig. He is also willing to tackle it. I'm just debating whether to bite the bullet this winter...

Wow...it's really something! Thank you Growler. I'll have to stop in one of these days and introduce myself.

Stretched 6 wheeler????
Like the fabled Sasquatch I’ve heard stories and rumours about a rig like this...but now I’ve seen it with my own eyes at the King George Airpark. Anybody know about this rig? Is it yours? Weak heater L300
Travelled up and down the coquihalla this weekend and had to run both heaters at full temp and fan just to keep the cabin barely comfortable. Every cold gust of -20 wind (Friday was cold) could be physically felt :-) Naturally downhill was the coldest! Definitely a pan/windblock would’ve helped some...

Weak heater L300
Fairly normal in my minimal experience. I often run both rear heater and front to get a more comfortable temp

New Battery Clamps?
Finally swapped out the old (and apparently refurbished???) batteries from the Green Turtle (‘93 Super Exceed). Got some new ones through Edmonds in Burnaby (they were great). When I installed the new ones I noticed the existing clamps that attach to the battery terminals were cracked. I’ve sourced ...

what did you do WITH your delica today
Transported two 10’ step ladders, two 5’ step ladders, a job site worth of tools and tool boxes, and STILL had room to spare (even with all the seats left in!) Kamloops Airport Mini-Meet
Ahh I drove through Kamloops on the 25th on my way back down to the coast! Would've been great to see everyone's rig in person.

Locate the Recreation Site
It was a very long day, but a good one. I think the 4WD section ran mostly between Doctor's Creek and Trethewey Creek. So not much at all. It consisted mainly of steep sections with very loose terrain. Driving back down it I dropped into 4L to take the pressure off the brakes and regain some more co...

Locate the Recreation Site
Well I finally made it out for day to explore Harrison-West FSR (now called Sts Ailes I think). I had been up it to access Mystery-Chehalis FSR to access Statlu Lake last year for a hike, but wanted to scout out some camp sites and visit a couple rec sites on the way up to Sloquet Hot Springs. My fi...

Anyone have thoughts on the millage? 280k seems like an awful lot but then gain it's a diesel... My L300 is at 315,000km and going strong. If it was regularly maintained and you plan to drive it fairly often then I think it should be fine. I know for a fact there are delica's with less mileage than...

Diesel Moot
Just added two-stroke this week (roughly 200:1). Made a noticeable difference to engine noise...less "clackety" (a technical term) for sure. Engine seems to be running smooth. We'll see if there's any change to mpg over the next few tanks as I've stopped with the stanadyne for now. Hey ms...
