Re: Desperate Sale..

Hey guys, thanks for posting this on here. Thanks also to you members who flagged the false ad, there must be someone out there who is unhappy with my ad, because they posted a rude one with my phone number, and now have flagged my real ad and got it removed. Anywayyyy... I had a buyer come with cas...

Re: sick pajero

In closing, the sick Pajero is all better, new timing belts, tensioners, water pump and oil seals... The tensioner on the balancer belt looks like it must have flew apart, I found a piece of it in between the crank sprockets, it must have somehow caused the pump sprocket to jump. So for anyone looki...

Re: sick pajero

:o Turns out that the timing is out on the pump sprocket by two teeth!! :o I was just going to reset it (but I couldn't find reset button :?) No but the belt needs replacing before I'll run it again, there's rubber shavings building up in there. Now just need to source some timing belts, or a kit co...

Re: sick pajero

Lil' update: The EGR valve seems fine: strong spring, no obstructions, I removed it and blocked the intake and it still ran crappy. Doing that almost inspired me to extend that exhaust branch thru the hood and play farmer! Wildkakwa: I'm no expert but just wondering: if simply plugging the vacuum li...

Re: sick pajero

hehe thanks, we don't have a Shell here in lil' ol' Radium... But good to know, she's learning English and color coding is useful at first, but then becomes offensive as she progresses  haha I took samples from tank and filter, definitely diesel. Fuel system keeps its prime overnight, all clam...

Re: sick pajero

Thanks, I ordered a fuel filter, coming tomorrow, in the meantime I flushed my old one with diesel conditioner but it didn't work... I tried to be sensitive with my wife about a possible diesel/gasoline blunder, ..."the yellow handle? for sure?"... haha, she almost made me drink some! Than...

Re: sick pajero

Hey robinimpey thanks so much for posting this but I must have messed up while texting you: it is white smoke... Here's a couple things I tried: It wouldn't idle for even a second upon starting, so I disconnected the hose from the outlet on the fuel filter and pumped the primer, seemed to spurt out ...

Re: Show off your Pajero here

I keeping with the spirit of this thread here is a short vdo of the Paj trying to pull a FS Chevy out of a hole. Note to self.... the factory tow point is way to cheesy to be actually used for pulling a big truck out of a hole. I had tried the winch but it just pulled my truck across the gravel. I ...

Re: Show off your Pajero here

Awesome Clint! Here's me getting stuck ("me" as in the truck, not the orange kid), I pushed a cross member onto a hump between the tire tracks and couldn't back off :( Where were you robinimpey???? I needed you to jump on the front driver's side bumper ;) while cradling your tow rope

Re: Manual Hubs and Fuel Economy

Hi, I have the '92 4-door Pajero, when I jack up the front end in 2wd and spin a front wheel, the other one spins in the opposite direction, I'm pretty sure my hubs are permanently engaged... Wouldn't this be the strongest possible option (at the sacrifice of longevity)? Or are the manual locks bett...

Re: Show off your Pajero here

Doesn't get stuck, that's awesome hasid33 - cause really not many vehicles could get out of what your in, in that first picture. I don't know about your Pajero not getting stuck, it sure looks like your stuck to me. I think you need my Delica to come pull you out! :-D Haha, your tow rope will be lo...

Re: Show off your Pajero here

hello, here's my '92 pajero exceed, 83,000 km, i just got it about 3 weeks ago, i put 31" tires on it, left it with Mardy for the "tune" and compliance work, runs awesome, doesn't get stuck, average 11 litres per 100 km (highway, city, offroad combination). Very happy with this truck....
