Dual piston slider pins.

Had time to revisit this today and took apart the right front caliper. Pistons are good, nice and shiny and seem to slide well. One of the piston boots was bulging out for some reason before I took them apart. I was afraid it would be pinched when it touched the brake pad. After refitting everything...

Dual piston slider pins.

I think I started to look into it because it was hard to stop the van. More pressure needed on the pedal than I recall. I upgraded to dual piston to make it easier. I think I'll have to replace the right caliper as the slider pins are so pitted they are making reinstall hard. Maybe I didn't install ...

Dual piston slider pins.

Thanks Growler. I'm not running genuine Mitsubishi calipers so not sure the OEM rebuild kit will work. Maybe I'll have to get some used OEM calipers and rebuild them.

Dual piston slider pins.

After a year and a half I feel like my front right brake caliper is failing. The slider pins are getting more and more corroded. I've already removed them, cleaned (sanded) them, regreased, installed about 3 times over 12 months. Whats odd is this is only happening on the front right, lefts are just...

High idle in park.

Hey guys my L300 has a little quirk. So if I'm out driving for a bit (getting the engine adequately hot) Then I place the van in park the idle will suddenly creep up to 1200RPM or so and stay there. It will not do this if my headlights are on. Any ideas why it will creep up in park? Its making my tu...

L300 window ventilation

Here ya go: http://www.fts4x4.com/en/products/?method=detail&aid=765 I looked at buying these, but they're pretty expensive when you factor in shipping. At least to Canada anyway. I love the fact that they're 100% functional, and look like a factory option. I'm getting a set once I win the lottery....

Turbo Whine

I have a bit of a whine to my turbo which perplexed me until I took the beast apart. My heat shield doesn't seal properly due to lots of corrosion so it vibrates causing a distinct whine/rattle. I live with it.

Freaking bloody water leak

Things are better. Ripped out the front sunroof, no leaks there. Also sealed the antenna mount and passenger side mirror mount. After doing that the drivers side A pillar leak is non existent. But the passenger side A pillar still has some water running inside. I'll try sealing the gutter mount agai...

Could very well be, I've just sealed around it. Thanks for the tip.

Freaking bloody water leak

Clean and silicone the front of the roof gutter. You'll notice small hairline cracks in the old sealer around the seam and the water most likely is coming in through there (it was on mine, looked exactly like your wet pillars) Of course, but I'll do it again . Have you looked through the "footwell ...

Freaking bloody water leak

I've resealed around the entire windshield with Permatex RTV silicone in hopes of getting rid of this annoying interior water drip. So today its raining and I have water dripping in again. Yes I know a proper windshield removal and new gasket, etc might cure it. But honestly I've gooped the entire e...
