Ruined transmission (a tale of torque and woe).
How much power are you putting down Growler? My 4D56 in its current setup is just a shade quicker than my buddies 4M40 SWB from a standing start and dead even at a roll. It runs out of power around 140KPH unloaded. Have not had a chance to dyno it. However the VW TDI motor will be putting down roug...

even if you sand the living day lights out of the chrome and use expensive etch primer the paint will still eventually flake off. Unless the chrome is in bad shape i would not bother. Paint does not take to chrome very well. You would be better off getting a painted bullbar.

Oil Pan Leaking
go to home depot and grab a putty knife. Works well enough for 3 bucks :)
Also double check the oil isnt front cover gasket... i have repaired more leaks there than from the pan.

you have a miss as low rpm now? Withe the lights off this evening start the van up and watch your plugs and plug wires. Look for sparks. This indicates a carbon trace in the wires or plugs causing a short. If there is northing spray brake clean over your intake gasket and any lines or fittings on t...

its just the water in fuel sensor... mine has never been connected. Just an FYI the sensor is the same as a GMC Duramax. You will need to switch the plug over.

My balance shafts are deleted, I noticed it a little bit at idle but once the RPM are up it feels the same IMHO.

seized turbo
The other thing that can cause a whistle is the 3bolt gasket between the manifold and the turbo, or the manifold gasket itself. Have a look for carbon tracing around the manifold gaskets, when they blow out the gasket acts like the reed in a clarinet making a lovely "WEEEEEEEEEEE" sound o...
