This leads me to a question I have been pondering. I am looking at importing another motor and tranny. Does anyone know from which years we can "clip" an engine and tranny and have it bolt staight into a 1991. The one I looked at from the shop mentioned in the other post was a 1993. Is tha...

Spare Engines with transmissions

I have contacted a business in Quebec that can ship from Japan 4d56t diesel engines out of Delicas. They clip them out of the cars that are being wrecked but the engines are good. Very low km available. Tranny, Clutch, Engine Block, Fuel Pump, Turbo, Alternator, Injectors, everything. He quoted me $...

You need to get at it from behind the driverside front tire. Two clips. Piece of cake. There is a hatch located under the carpet behind the drivers seat but that is just the top of the filter holder.
Good luck.

False Logic

Isn't that a bait and switch. SOME cars are unsafe because they are right hand drive, therefore BAN the import of ALL cars under 25 years of age. (what happens at 25 are they going to be safer than at 15?) What they really should be saying is that they THINK there is a POSSIBILITY, that under certai...

Sea Foam

Napa has sea foam on sale right now. motor 500 mls $7.87 trans $7.87 deep creep $8.30 I'm going to give it a go. It looks like a very good inital step before cleaning injectors or changing glow plugs. Even if I still need to do either job or both jobs anyway, it will make for an easier, more effecti...

Called Lordco on the Dayco timing belt kit #ktba080 and valve timing belt 94019 94012 and was told none of these is a hit. Asked about the powersteering belt 13a 0750 and he gave me a dayco # of 17295. Also after going over the site and gathering numbers from different posts I see that there is two ...

I asked my friend who has an opinion on everything and he said the best oil is Rotella T. $5.50/l at Shell in Victoria, so didn't go there. I will look at the gallon jugs in the US next time I'm at a truck stop. He is american and said it was cheap there. http://www.rotella.com/ I put in the Napa @3...

Filters; oil,air,fuel.

Hi everyone, here are some questions and comments on oil and filters. After looking on the various Delica forums in the UK and Australia I am left with the impression that oil is an important subject but I have no firm understandings. Advice seems to be to use oil that is formulated for JDM turbo di...

I can't say much at this point about performance except I have a 1991 exceed 60,000 km 5 spd manual transmission. I have taken it over the Malahat twice (lightly loaded), it finished every hill at the speed I started up the hill. I normally drive the speed limit so when I came to the first hill I wa...

Hard to say what the corresponding link is exactly because nothing seemed advertised exactly the same in two places (Ebay.de and Niko.com), or make 100% sense to me. Dates were confusing and descriptions incomplete.. And I don't read German. So I would be assuming. Since I bought it from Niko on Eba...

Hi Mark
Is your delica a diesel?
I was told those modules require a feed from a sparkplug wire for juice and so won't work with a diesel.

End of Story

Bought a pair of headlights from Niko.com via EBay. The headlights arrived two weeks after mailing. Shipped by DHL Germany but arrived by Canada Post. Tried to track it at one point but that proved hopeless. None the less here they are. They fit, they are marked correctly. And I passed Inspection. I...
