Re: More Fun With Leaks:(
Thanks Alex. I asked my friend who teaches auto at the school I work at if he could score me some. He said that transmission fluid is sometimes used instead of power steering fluid? I'm not so sure about that. :? Anyway, the cool thing is that I was able to put the van up on the hoist after work and...

Re: More Fun With Leaks:(
This is excellent. I'm going to see if the shop teacher at my work can get the Dexron 2 fluid. I couldn't find it at Crappy Tire.
Thanks for the link:)

Re: More Fun With Leaks:(
Cool, I think I can manage that. Did you use any specific type of power steering fluid? I was at Crappy Tire today, but was unsure of what to buy.

Re: More Fun With Leaks:(
Beauty, thanks for the reply. I don't believe I've ever had the drivers seat out, probably why I've never looked at the power steering reservoir. Hopefully it's something simple like what happened to yours. I'll have a look at it this week sometime.
Thanks, Phil
Thanks, Phil

More Fun With Leaks:(
Hello everyone, Recently I've been dealing with fuel leaking on my van. I've got that sorted, but now I have yet another leak I'm dealing with. It appears to be coming from the drivers side of the vehicle right around where the front right tire is and right below the drivers seat. I've also noticed ...

Re: L300 built in cooler
Are you referring to the Cool Box that sits upfront underneath the dash? Before my A/C Compressor seized a while back mine worked, but it wasn't great. I'm quite certain it would not make ice, although I never tried. I remember it would intermittently blast cold air inside the box, but it wasn't con...

Re: Fuel Pickup on Rear Tank
Thanks for the quick response Alex. My mechanic brazed the holes in the pickup unit and managed to get it to stop leaking fuel. But it's running poorly now, difficulty idling & stalls out when braking. He's going to poke around with it again tomorrow and see what he can do. I'm wondering if maybe he...

Fuel Pickup on Rear Tank
Hello folks, I recently posted on here about a hard start problem, and then I noticed a fuel leak on the rear tank. I had the tank removed and had a bladder put in it. But when my mechanic put it all back, he said it's still leaking from the fuel pickup at the top of the tank, (not the fuel gauge se...

Re: Ahhhhh!!!
The problem is finding a wrecked L300 anywhere close to where I live. I wish they were as plentiful here as they are in BC. I'd be happy to get some used parts off a donor van. My mechanic said the leaky fuel tank is the main issue that needs fixing, and it's getting a new bladder in it now. The res...

Re: Ahhhhh!!!
Thanks for responding nogas. I guess I'll have to check specifically when my Deli was manufactured. The Amazon links show they are unavailable at the moment. And the prices on the Amayama site were a little out of this world. That's like half of what I paid for my entire van, turbo included!! :shock...

Ahhhhh!!!
Hello folks, I hope you are all well and had an enjoyable summer. After spending my entire summer on the road touring Provincial Parks, my van is in need of some love. It started with a fuel leak from the rear tank. My mechanic pulled it and it's now sent off to be resealed. As I was talking to my m...

Difficulty Starting 'on my 93 L300
Well I'm hoping this is the final chapter to this story. I had a friend help me change out the fuel filter after watching a 12 min video on YouTube. It's a pretty easy job as most on here will know. I originally tightened the filter on to the top part as hard as I could by hand. Shouldn't have done ...

Thanks guys, I did have the injector pump rebuilt shortly after I got the van, Probably been 6 or 7 years ago now. It was leaking all over the place, so I had to get it repaired. I'm not sure how long they normally last after being rebuilt, but it had 75K on it when I had that done, and I'm up to 15...

Here's something else. After dinner I decided to go have a look at the van over a few cocktails. All of the fuel lines appear okay. I couldn't see any visible leaks or anything. Then a friend popped by and was looking at things with me. He asked when was the last time I replaced the fuel filer, to w...

Thanks for this Alex. I was thinking of a possible air leak also. I was out in it driving today and it actually stalled out at a stop sign. I managed to get it to fire up again by giving it some throttle. I'll do as you and Growler suggest and see if there's bubbles in the line. I believe the fuel i...
