Re: L400 manual transmision

I think the point being made is that there are many L300 manual transmission vans lying around but barely any L400's. Because the L300 requires you sit in the crumple zone the op would prefer an L400. Correct me if I'm wrong. 8-) Hmmmm....That never occurred to me, but no one ever said I was the sh...

Re: L400 manual transmision

Ok, has anyone even seen one in person.......I've been led to believe they exist.... I would really like a Delica, but my wife doesn't want us to sit in the crumple zone, and we both are uncomfortable with the concept of an automatic transmission.... My wife got into a front end collision with her ...

Re: Photo Radar Ticket

Wow......$600G for a bunch of balls........You guys out west have so much money you don't know what to do with it all. If my city (St. Catharines) had a spare $600,000.00, it would go towards another Beer Store..... :-D

Re: How soon is too soon??

Skip the dealer and save yourself a bunch of cash.....Get a reputable exporter in Japan, tell them what you want, and they will do the rest. A couple hundred bucks spent on a customs broker and your ride is ready to pick up.......Easy cheesy lemon squeezy..................

Re: Getting plated in ontario

I went to the MTO office today, and got sent away. I was trying to re-register a Subaru Legacy which I have owned for two years! I have the feeling that the exceptions list is to alert Insurance companies that the insured vehicle "may" be RHD. My company is aware (and I have three other RH...

Re: 4M41 vs 4M40

My wife's delica has the timing advanced and it helps alot. Yesterday I turned up the pump on my Pajero and the difference is very noticable. There is alot more you can do (intake/exhaust/electric rad fan) that will add to those gains....For the size/purpose of the vehicle, the 4M40 can be adjusted ...

Re: hard pipe kit

Neat site, thanks for the link. I am surprized there isn't more available. For that price I can get something made local, but the expansion take has caught my eye.....

Re: Injection pump seal on its way out? Help !

I realize that when buying a kit off ebay things might not fit correctly, but it worked out fine in the end and I was left with a bunch of extra seals etc. The only nervous moments were pulling the gear off the pump, and pulling the old seal. though the shaft is very hard the last thing you want to ...

Re: Injection pump seal on its way out? Help !

I did the dreaded IP seal about a month ago in my wife's L400. She had the usual stalling issues for a few months before I decided to take a stab at replacing it. I bought an entire bosch seal kit of ebay for $27.00. Her van only has 85K on it so I decided to just do the one seal and any others I de...

Re: Fuel consumption numbers, for interest sake

I just had the unfortunate pleasure of doing my wife's front injecton seal a few weeks ago. I accidentally advanced the timing and gained some extra noise but also an additional 50kms on a tank of fuel. I was going to pull it back last weekend but have decided to leave it be to confirm the better mi...

Re: Experience with paint restoration?

There is no way that a small amount of dish soap will do damage to paint/clear coat. It is simply not aggressive enough, nor is it left on the surface long enough to ever do any perceivable harm. You are far more likely to damage your paint by touching it in an effort to remove "dirt" from...
