I think you mean early Saturday?

At time of posting, it's still Thursday, mate. :-) (Sorry if I just totally ruined your day.) :o

My only problem now is figuring out when the lady can get off of work. I want to leave the friday, even if late. I dont mind if I know where Im meeting the rest of you.

I should be around the PC for the night, so I'll check in later.

Ok, I'll be at the Ikea at 6pm.

Should I be late or something, my phone number is 778 888 3361 so you don't leave if Im a minute down the road.

What are the final plans for the first night? I dont mind the sound of sticking the valley and doing vedder for a day trip saturday, bit getting out further, say to baker, doesn't bother me either. I would prefer not to have to set up in the dark, but leaving at 6 we should be good for anywhere semi close.

Don't worry, I'm probably late too due the heavy traffic.
We just should leave latest at 6.30pm

Sounds good.

Still no answer regarding a chainsaw though? I hate packing wood, so I'll go pick one up if I need to.

HI Pajerry, you just have to have the vehicle packed up, and when Mrs Pajerry gets home she hops in the shower quickly, then into the vehicle (of course you have munchies all packed in a little cooler bag to eat while driving).

Yes most delica usually carry tow straps, and have bolt on 5/8 inch shackles on the front, and some have tow hitches on the back.

Tardis carries several tow straps (some 4 inch diameter), come along, shovels, tow hitch with loop attached already. Tool kit including duct tape and electrical meter. Emergency spot lights. Food, water, bear spray, flare gun, porta potty, first aid kit including airways. You know, just the bare basics for a picnic in the woods (including the teddy bears).

No chain saw, but Tardis has a big axe, a hatchet, Bow saw 21 inch blade, and we have 2 crates of 2x4 bits and firestarter. There is a fire ban on all fires more than 1/2 metre in any size direction, so will have to have fire less than 19 inches so wood must be smallish. I usually cook dinner over the fire (or use the microwave), and share my large kettle for boiling water. Whew, yes it all fits in a Delica -- I just love my mobile suitcase.

Music ... hmmm no, but if you play music I will sing (a bit flat, but with enthusiasm).

Will PM you with Jay's cell. Felix post says he might not get there till 6:30, so all is good. See you later, Christine.

I'm in, I'll aim to be at IKEA for 6PM, will come along for camping tonight, 4x4ing the vedder area tomorrow, and head back to Vancouver tomorrow evening as I've got plans I can't break in the city.

If I can find my FRS radio it'll be on 5.22. and will dust off my CB as well if anyone else is on that band :)

OK, to sum up ... Tardis does not go to RichD's house first, as Coaxial is convoying with him to IKEA.

I PM'd Jay's cell # to Pajerry, RichD, Felix.

We all meet at IKEA Coquitlam, as soon after 6pm as possible.

Ikea menu is fish n chips for $2.99 upstairs, or 50cent hotdogs and scrummy cinnamon buns downstairs Bistro.

Highway at 3pm was gridlocked from Gaglardi eastwards, but there's a nice breeze if you keep yr windows open.

Cheers, Christine.

David, if I get a chance tomorrow or Sunday, I'll take a drive out in the area you are planning to wheel. I've lots of work to do around home. But none of your planned destinations are to far from where I live if I get some free time. East Harrison may have some heavy duty traffic on the weekend due to a river run hydro projects. The old logging camp (no structures left) is nice place to play and have lunch or camp. It is just past the first camp. You also have the Sand Hill a couple clicks up from the lake. Be careful. Just a little sideways and it can be easy to roll over. There is also an old mine shaft right off the road.

Sounds like the turn out is getting even better!

Elbosque, if East Harrison could be too busy there's always the West side so we can decide by Saturday evening.

Mrji, you got me confused... " I'll be there for the ride! So don't wait for me on Saturday".
Are you still coming or not? You got my cell anyway so if you do come on Saturday you might be able to reach me. We'll be at Vedder Mountain anyway and it should be easy enough to find us.

Seeya soon!

That isn't confirmed. Just that I know the damn construction has started so it is a possibility. I'll call you if I can get away.

BTW, met Troutchaser (Steve) and got the springs from him today. They don't look near as bad as he described. His family own Japanoid and he's a diesel marine mechanic. He's stuck in an auto Pajero until his broken leg heals because he can't shift gears.

Last known location was this vicinity.

http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&source=s ... 8&t=h&z=18

They were heading to Harrison East on Sunday AM.

They don't have 3G reception so they aren't on the forum, but you can try calling (cell phone reception is iffy).

We were on the road by 9AM this morning so you could try to connect with them as they are in transit tomorrow around 8:30-10:00.
