I am sorry we missed the meet, we were in San Francisco getting a 'fixer'upper Boston Whaler Revenge 22 for Jay (we towed it back with his Chevy van not the Delica, apologies).

Was I the only one who took pictures?

Nice pictures laura, thank you
doing test drive this L400 everyday now. all i can say is that i can be side by side with oddesy & sienna with this L400 in the highway, cannot be left behind with them now even this L400 is intercoolerdiesel engine. ones i reach 60 to 80k & up i can beat along side with there v6 mini van here(Sienna & oddesy)
i am getting to like it as the power of this L400 has a big huge improvement compare to L300. very nice indeed.
thanks for everyone again who attend the meet.
as per christine i e-mail you about this but as you say your in california.
Cheers;
Mardy

Re: L400 Spacegear Orientation (Sunday, April 26, 2009)
hi, kuan,
not a big difference when is comes to fuel economy. maybe around approx between 20 to 22 mpg. about 1 or 1/2 kms diff than L300. but the power is the big difference.big improvement.runs like a V6 gas engine.
i think this is a perfect family van design for canada & us.smooth ride & lots of power, with option of awd ,4wd & 2wd.compare to the L300,
you need to test drive one of this Kuan & youll see.
Cheers:

Ha ha... Yeah but then I'll want one! I like the fact that you can walk through the middle. Big plus when you have young children, you don't always have to get out and go around.MardyDelica wrote:hi, kuan,

I'll come by next time I get down to Vancouver.
Thanks

If I wanted a mini van, I would just borrow my mom's Dodge Caravan...and if I wanted it to be similar to an L400, i'd just put a brush guard on it
The reason why most of us drive the L300 is because of it's character and useful space. The L400 lacks both of those. Just my 2 cents...and I know we all have out own opinions

Re: L400 Spacegear Orientation (Sunday, April 26, 2009)
I had the opportunity to drive an L400 this afternoon. Thanks, Shogo!
The "butch Previa" feeling isn't just visual: the Space Gear drives like a Previa as well. This is high praise: the Previa is an excellent van. In 4H an L400 feels just like one. Except that it's faster, and sounds much sexier.
Like everybody else, Japanoid are struggling to come up with Canada-friendly headlights.
It's definitely a mini-van, designed from the ground up as such. But it's such a cool mini-van.
I liked it. I could get used to one...

Re: L400 Spacegear Orientation (Sunday, April 26, 2009)
As I was driving up 12th Street/Kingsway I waved at a women in an L300, as I wave to all Delicas I notice. She didn't wave back. Either she was one of the sort who don't return such waves, or she didn't recognize a Space Gear as a Delica...
