Rose and I are on the fence about crabfest still. Although glasstiger will be playing 8-) . We are already going to so many music festivals this summer, and are more into the folky, bluegrass, blues stuff. So we are trying to decide if its worth it. However it sounds like a lot of the group meeting for the Northern Delica Meet are planning on attending. So we just might. Are you going to come up?

Are you hitting up Kispiox Music Festival and/or the edge of the world festival at all?

Oh and how come I saw you walking to town today and some other guy driving your delica? Did you get Delijacked? I waved at him, but I think he thought I was a wierdo.

I just got a proper alignment before i wore the wheels all funny from the cranking of the torsion bars. It was a dismal day to walk. Yeah the kispiox is on our list for sure... havent decided what else 100% yet. We going to convoy?

Kev,

you must have made me self conscious, because I did some custom cutting and retrofitted the molding back in place after resizing it. Took a lot of trimming, two sided tape, self tappers and silicon, but I do like the final "almost stock" look or the trim back in place with plenty of room for the fat wheels still.

And how about the new custom rack... its a Doc special. Here we are working on it. (Falco took the pics, thanks man, Doc and I always forget to take any!)

See how the mounting brackets attach... oh wait... are there any attachments?

Image

nope, hmm, they must be invisible! Thats right, we drilled holes in the gutters, and fed the mounting bolts on the backside of the support arches for the rack. It keeps it looking slick and trim.

Well thats all for today folks! Lots more to come. (oh and soon I will snap a few pics of the roof top mansion folded open in all it's glory!)

Hey Josh - that is looking super slick!

Lovely work on the rack (that comment is for you AND James) and I'm glad to see you're managing to fight those Redneck tendencies and have refitted the plastic sill trims.... :-P

Can't wait to see the canvas Buckingham Palace in all its splendour - will you have a waiter to bring you tea and croissants in the mornings?? (make sure he doesn't spill any while he's climbing that ladder??)

Cool dude - UBER COOL!!

Ah, go on - call it Northern BC's hottest Delica now!

Sweet rack, me three can't wait to see the cottage set up in full out mode.

And concerning the lower plastic trim; Delica law always follow the Brits advice. Solid colored vans don't look as bad without though.

Cheers Buddy,
Kev - head up your way the 21-22 this month

There is still curently an opening for a waiter. The biggest stepping stone that I am finding I have to overcome is where to find an authentic british butler 8-) . Bruce, interested in a career change?

Thanks for the great feedback. I really am loving the changes.

Kev, I should be on the island near the end of this week, beginning of next...

Looking sweet Josh.

That rack looks great but I am also pretty keen to see the item it holds. Pictures of the tent, at your earliest convenience of course, would be sweet.
Where did the tent come from and cost, if you don't mind me asking?

I figure that it came to around $200 in aluminum.

Steel is a way better deal cost wise than aluminum. The reason I went aluminum was to save on weight. The roof tent weighs over 100 lbs on its own so I didnt think that building out of steel would be the wisest idea in the world.
