Help!!!!!! Need parts.

Post by erik2287 »

Hey all,

Hope things are well for you. I, however, need some help.

I took my Deli into the shop for a small leak, which turns out was due to a blown head gasket. Ugh.

So, I am looking for a head gasket set, a timing belt and a water pump. Anyone know where I can get the parts?

Will be forever in your debt...and will pay for good info with a tasty bottle of rum :)

Thanks all. Look forward to hearing from you

any of the dealers:

Rising Sun, Amazing Auto, Combs Country Auto, Maximum Overdrive.... come to mind.

Make sure you use a name brand gasket (also look at posts for cracked heads (very common))...

Not sure where you're from but I live in Ontario. I've been using Rising Sun personally for all my needs. Even though they're on the other side of the country from me, they've supplied me with great parts and all kinds of great tech support and advice since first purchasing my van. In fact, there's some things in the mail from them on their way to me right now....

Good luck with everything:)

P.S., I drink vodka,,lol

Mardys great to deal with , but if it's parts you want go straight to Rocky Mountain Imports, they are pretty much nothing but a parts outlet , even Mardy shops there

You can get the head gasket kit from any parts jobber. Mid-80s dodge ram pickups had the 4D56t engine as an option. Just ask for a gasket kit for that truck with the diesel engine and they should be able to get you rolling.

They aren't always the same. I bought parts on that premise and you can't return somethings once opened.

Depends on your jobber I guess, but I used that exact head gasket kit from Lordco, and the shop I usually use always lets me return parts that turn out incorrect. But if you order parts for that specific engine and model, it's the same block.
