L300 light issues

Post by cram66 »

Hi, I have lost my dash lights, brake lights and horn. The dash lights started to have a delay when I turned them on. I have checked all fuses and they are ok. I disassembled and cleaned the combination switch which was dirty. Is there a relay ?

There are fusible links and a connector in the battery bay, look there. Jay and Christine of the TardisDeli are good people to talk to in these matters. When this happened to me it was a cream coloured connector that got burned out.

Thanks Falco, I had a look at the main fuse in the battery bay. It looked fine. I will take a closer look tomorrow. Thank you for posting the combination switch pictures. They were very helpful and made the job easy. Marc

Found the little devil. Broken ground wire in engine bay. Easy fix.

Update, I borrowed my friends trailer. Lights went out again, fuses blew.It turned out that the Canadian tire trailer socket melted and caused all light issues. Replaced unit and back to normal. :-D
