Re: Burning Rubber?
Thanks for that BFG. I checked the upper ball joint/tire friction, but it was clear (by about half inch, thanks Snelson) I got to work at 0630hrs and no smell at all today. I will check out BFG's suggestion next. ARGH, now I have the infamous rubber burning smell also, ive checked everything I can ...

Re: How snorkel fit
do most people that do this seal the doors, or just let the water come right on in? with the fuse box and other wires that close to the ground i dont think i would be wantin a whole lot of water around my feet. You have to let the water flow in otherwise the van will float away, all depending on ho...

Re: Removing Sliding door Interior Trim (Scary)
its not so much the clips will break but more they will pull out of the panel and stay in the door, if water has been near the interior panel it'll do this to you, I got some 8mm custom wood and made new ones up, even reused the old material on the door (although luckily for me it is factory vinyl).

Re: intake valve crud
The above picture looks like oil crud, but probably a lot of dirt and grime also from no air filter I would say. I don't think you'll see a difference unless you have cleaned that area before installing your catch can, or alternatively install a catch can with a brand new head, if you pull off your ...

Re: Delica Main Chassis
Sorry to say but early -86? 4wd L300 were a full chassis design. which is what im guessing is a L037G. They still make this shape in the Philippians as it is a good base for a Cab Chassis truck?, so they can put whatever box/tray on the back. http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.ph/l300cab/ http://www.m...

I have a 2.0L Manual Petrol one, 4G63 wide block makes for easy conversion of 'better' 4G63, plenty of 2WD ones here with 4G63 DOHC 16v Turbos.

EDIT: infact its almost the same as this one http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Mitsubishi/auction-318422326.htm v...

Re: Manual hub benefits.
if your stuck in 2wd, and have auto-hubs and switch to 4wd it will still end up locking the front hubs, its the drive (front diff) that locks them not the spinning of the wheel, that only unlocks them. i.e in reverse. we re talkin l400's they are fixed hub's, transfercase is where they engage/disen...

Re: Welcome to the "Last Word Café".
Vegemite and Marmite very similar, Marmite leaves a taste in your mouth for a while and vegemite seems more smooth, but basically the same thing, other than Marmite(NZ) and Vegemite(OZ), yes i know of other brands of marmite but ours is best.
