1995 Delica nearing EOL
So I have a 1995 Delica Space Gear that has served me very well. However, I think it is reaching the end of its useful life. The problems are mounting and becoming hard to ignore. The main issue is that it doesn't start well once the temperature approaches freezing. Anything below -5C is pretty much...

Left signal stuck on
Yesterday, I finished picking up some supplies from building centres in the nearest city in my 1995 L400 Delica. I was making a left hand turn and kept my hand on the signal as I made the turn. As I finished the turn and the the signal lever let go, I felt it click in a different way. It then stuck ...

Failed inspection: Front calipers and CV boot
UAP/NAPA seems to carry appropriate calipers too.
Funny the things you find when bothering to look.

Failed inspection: Front calipers and CV boot
I've learned that the 1994 Mitsubishi Montero LS has a 3.0L engine, which eliminates any uncertainty about the calipers.
Rockauto seems to have compatible rebuilt calipers at really decent prices.
Anything obvious I'm missing?

Failed inspection: Front calipers and CV boot
So my 1995 L400 failed an inspection. The mechanic wants me to replace the front calipers and a CV boot. Mardy figured I should be able to find everything locally (rural Alberta), and I'm close, but still have some issues. Any recommendations for online shops? My understanding is that the calipers a...

Re: L400 alignment specs
Thanks Big-Bird. I'll put it that alignment specs to use as soon as I get my hands on a pair of tie-rod ends.

L400 alignment specs
My 1995 L400 has always had an issue where the front left tire wears unevenly. The inside wears much more than the outside. In the past, the tire shop recommended a four-wheel balance to help. I didn't expect my Delica to last long enough for this to become an issue. However, despite rotating the ti...

Re: New emissions issues
I just happen to have spent my morning studying for a biofuels course. The subject matter today was diesel engines and diesel fuels (including biodiesel). Having a Delica L400 filling my window is tremendous motivation for studying. The problem for small diesel engines is that emissions regulations ...

Re: Glow plug sources
Rising Sun Imports has an EBay listing for glow plugs that are compatible with the 4M40 in my L400.
An Australian EBay seller has a listing with a much better price, even including shipping. Maybe those plugs are a good value, maybe not. Does anybody have any experience with the ETecno1 brand?

Glow plug sources
It's the time of year where I notice how many of my Delica L400's glow plugs have died since spring. I'm about to check them. Since I've got one spare glow plug sitting on the shelf, I'm betting that two have died. Which brings me to my question: Where are folk buying their glow plugs? I've bought f...

Re: 1995 L400 draining battery
Big-Bird, we're a ways from a PartsSource, but the next time I'm in a major center I'll give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion. Izack98, the battery is out of warranty. It's Energizer brand, bought from Wal-Mart. If the battery is the problem, this is the first issue I've had with that brand. Wi...

Re: 1995 L400 draining battery
So I looked for a parasitic load and couldn't find anything. I couldn't get anything to register on my meter's 10A unfused circuit. So I went back inside and set up a simple circuit with my children's set of Snap Circuits (which are a lot of fun for dad's too). Still couldn't get anything to registe...

Re: 1995 L400 draining battery
Thanks fellows.
VanVonVan, we might be in touch about how to access the door latch switch, but I'll start with izack's procedure. In fact, that's really close to something I just found on Youtube:

1995 L400 draining battery
I've got a 1995 L400 that draines the battery to the point that it can't drive the starter motor after a few days of sitting. The battery is three years old. Perhaps the problem is a short or sticky switch (ie. door closed switches) somewhere in the electrical. The door open light flickers and somet...

L400 air filters
By what can only be a miracle, I've been running on the same air filter for approximately two years. It's the one that was in it when I picked up the van from Mardy. In a nutshell: Mardy either didn't have them in stock or was too busy selling vehicles to get to my little order (understood), and lif...
