Re: Near Disaster
[quote="Stewart"]Thanks collector, I guess your handle means you probably have an interesting collection of cars. Do you have a website, some pictures or do you display them sometimes? Actually my nickname is misleading...I do online gaming a fair bit, and "Collector" has been my...

Re: Near Disaster
I used a GM dealer product on my old truck's door seals. Not sure of the part#, but it is just called seal conditioner.

Re: Near Disaster
t looks like I got really lucky because the door and window seals look fine (I'll give them a little vaseline)
If I may add my 2 cents, never use Vasoline on any rubber or vinyl seals-the petroleum will break down the rubber composite over time...

low roof vs high roof vs crystal roof
Hi all, Just wondering what the pros and cons are in selecting a low/high/crystal roof are. I hear that the Crystal roof is prone to leakage through the top windows, as well as the electric curtains failing, but then on the other hand, the big sunroof that comes with the low/highroof has a leak issu...

Re: where did you buy your Delica? (lower mainland)
Wow-thanks guys. That's a lot of food for thought. I am sort of leaning towards JapanAuto because while their prices seem a little higher, they include a one year drivetrain warranty. (expandable to 3 yrs). I am putting my car up for sale on the weekend-anyone interested in an '03 Corolla CE 5 spd w...

where did you buy your Delica? (lower mainland)
I think this may be an old posting, if so I apologize.
I am looking at Silkroad Autos in Surrey, Maximum OverDrive in Richmond, and JapanAuto in Abbotsford....any reviews on these companies would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

your Delica so far?
Hi all Just curious as to how long people have owned their Delicas, mileage put on since purchase, and if there has been any issues (major or minor) with yours? I am becoming interested in buying one-my '03 Corolla is ok in the snow (with good AS radials), but I sure miss "laughing through the ...

high mileage?
Hi all
What does everyone here consider "high" mileage on an L300? I've noticed that a lot of the units for sale have over 100,000KM on the clock...at what mileage does the 2.4L diesel become tired and/or run down?
Many thanks!

gas powered Delicas?
Hi all,
I was perusing Craigslist (Vancouver), and I noticed there were 2 gasoline powered Delica L300s for sale. The selling point seemed to be that parts were more readily availiable. Is this true, and what kind of motor is the gas version?
Thank you!

mitsubishi dealer ads
Hi all, Can anyone tell me if Mitsubishi Canada is now offering to sell parts for imported JDM Delicas? If not, why are they allowed to advertise on this site? I was told by a dealer from the Lower Mainland that "Mitsubishi Canada wants nothing to do with these grey market vehicles." So wh...

Re: BC former resident transplanted to Hawaii
I have also heard that they (USA) will not allow a vehicle with RHD on the road. (I may be wrong.)
I was in Maui 2 years ago, and the only Delica I saw was a 2 wheel drive gas driven model. Still a cool looking van IMO.

Re: speed up hills, black smoke trailing behind
I'm not even sure this is applicable, but I work for an armored car company in Vancouver, and I regularly drive a 2004 International. (not sure of the model #) This truck has only about 56,000km on it (essentially brand new), and it always gives out a huge gout of black smoke whenever the accelerato...

Re: River Crossing, bush whacking, log cutting... the Telkwa Pas
Wow-I cringed at all that "bushwacking"...an electric/air powered buffer should get most of those scratches out. ("the Horror....the Horror..." :o ) What was the end result with the 'Cruiser? Just got too wet, and stalled? I can see the Delica's advantage of having the motor tuck...
