I typed "replacing L400 stereo" in the site search engine and this is what I got: http://www.delica.ca/forum/advanced-sea ... mit=Search

I typed "+site:delica.ca replacing L400 stereo" into Google and I got this: http://www.google.ca/search?client=fire ... gle+Search

Hope this helps.

I took my new 7" DVD deck to a professional installer, and he did it in about 2 hours. Only problem I had was that he destroyed my Bezel which was very brittle. The wiring was not too much trouble for him. (One minor headlight wiring error on the installers part).

I would suspect it is not all that difficult. The OZ and UK crowd have been doing L400s for some time.

Some things are not worth the time......

You will spend more time looking for an adapter than it will take to cut the wires off the back of the old harness and put in the new harness that comes with a new stereo........ the colour coding is listed in this forum somewhere for those that do not have a meter and/or know how to use it......

takes about 2-5 min to sort out wiring if you know what you are doing (12V const., 12V acc, lighting, pairings of speaker wires) should take less than 30min for your first time......

I removed original as per directions at the Aus dellie site. Once I had it out and because I knew I'd have no use for it, I basically destroyed the entire unit in order to preserve only the input/output jack on back. I then soldered it to the wires of my new Pioneer double din receiver according to this jack diagram from the Aus site and just plugged it back in to the system.

The whole thing worked out quite well. My only complaint is the receiver's poor reception which I suspect has something to do with the mystery #2 antennae which had a plug on original but not on Pioneer; so it was left dangling. I'm no electronics whiz and still wonder if maybe that second antennae could be spliced in with the main one.
Also of note, I replaced the door speakers only. The sound is OK but not stellar.
Cheers!
