What's the story behind these crooked trees? Does the tree naturally grow this way? Or has there been alien intervention or something?

I think there are all sorts of theories on this!
Some think its the soil, some think E.T. did it.
It is one stand of trees, Right across the road is another stand of perfectly straight trees.
I think that someone/something told these trees that gravity and common growth practises does not apply to them!
It is a humbling site!
