Climategate
Man made global warming has been proven to be a hoax. The top scientists have been cooking the books for years and have been stifling any descenting opinions. Do a Google search if you haven't read what the worlds top climate experts have been saying behind our backs. These are the top scientists that produce the data that the UN and all the other scientists base their research on. The emails have been verified. We're not hearing enough about this in the MSM (mainstream media) because big business, big government and big green are all due to profit from this scam. I think this proves that we need 100% separation of science and state.

Re: Climategate
You're right, you convinced me. The most compelling argument that climate change is a communist global take over, by one of the most learned scholars of our time, and a bad ass to boot:
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=114005
The science on climate change is not 'out'. There is no credible dissenting scientific opinion on the threat that introduction of CO2 into the atmosphere poses to the social and economical wellbeing of our species. BTW that CO2 is produced from the burning of fossil fuels. The CIA ranks climate change as the number one threat to American security. There is no such thing as 'big green'. There is however such a thing as 'big tabacco', and many of their spokespeople, PR firms and pseudo scientists have found new employment defending 'big oil' practises by attempting to delay action on mitigating climate change. They are using that exact same tactics used for delaying government action on the use of tobacco products. Start a bunch of arms length, astroturf organizations staffed with lawyers, economists, and whatever scientists that can be bought. Use these entities to try to generate an artificial counter point to the existing scientific consensus. The main stream media eats it up. Both sides get equal air time, giving the general public the false impression that there is still genuine debate within the scientific community about the increasing average global temperature and its main contributing factor, CO2. There is not.
Look at the motivations of the parties involved. Big oil makes trillions annually introducing sequestered CO2 into the atmosphere. Big green encourages us to conserve, reduce and recycle. I'm not sure how much big green pulls in a year, but I'm sure it is a lot less than big oil.

Re: Climategate
These top scientists have done everything in their power to stop descenting views.
They also talk about ways to "hide the decline"... (the fact that the earth has been a cooling in the last 7 years).
Anyways, it's apparent you haven't even read the emails yet. Take some time and get back to me. Also do some research on C02 and temp in history. Sounds like you are hanging on to ideas that were disproven 2 years ago.

Yes, the biggest cause of man-made CO2 is burning fossil fuels.... but that is only a tiny % of CO2 emmissions compared to things like Volcano erruptions, wild fires, the ocean, vegetation etc.Adam wrote:There is no credible dissenting scientific opinion on the threat that introduction of CO2 into the atmosphere poses to the social and economical wellbeing of our species. Re: Climategate
its true, man made climate change is a hoax. the real reason the climate is warming is because of the 12th planet, Nibiru, which is actually a dwarf star. Nibiru is on a 3600 year elliptical orbit around the sun. As Nibiru approaches Earth, our fair planet is warming considerably. The Mayans knew about Nibiru and their calendar has a 3600 year cycle. (in fact it has many cycles from 13 days up to the 26,000 year baktun. all these cycles end in 2012)
the Annunaki come from Nibiru. they are a race of humanoid giants that visited Earth on one of Nibiru's passes about 26,000 years ago. the Annunaki mated with monkeys to create a race of human slaves to mine gold, so that when they return the gold will be extracted from the Earth.

i have seen photos of skeletons of giants on the internet.
if its on the internet, then it must be true.

Re: Climategate
Funny, the ONLY place we hear about the warming "hoax" is in the mainstream media. If you do a simple search of peer reviewed journals on Google Scholar, of the top 1000 most cited academic papers on the subject, only 16 are written by global warming deniers. Are you trying to suggest that over 98% of all scientists and academics are participating in an elaborate cover up in their own self interest? That's ridiculous. If I'm going to choose sides on this "debate" I'm going with the world's top scientists, nobel prize winners, international research bodies etc, Rather than the side of the occasional crackpot who is funded by big oil, and chooses to spread misinformation in the mass media and not in academic circles. The whole idea that there is some kind of debate among scientists is completely manufactured by self interested parties who are interested in maintaining their own profits for as long as they can. We're not hearing enough about this in the MSM (mainstream media) because big business, big government and big green are all due to profit from this scam. I think this proves that we need 100% separation of science and state.
And by the way, according to global climatic history, we should be in a cooling trend right now, not a warming. Get your head out of the sand!

Everyone knows that the production of LHD L400 headlights mixed with NOS fuel bottles emits toxins that cause global warming.
They don't tell you that in the news

Yes, last 7 years we have been cooling. That is why the scientists talk about changing the numbers to "hide the decline".
I would also like to add that most of these papers you mention base there research on charts/facts/tables developed by the top scientists who had their emails hacked.

Re: Climategate
that's why they don't like it when people call it global warming, it's global climate change, the reason things are getting cooler is because the polar ice caps are melting at an alarming rate and cooling the oceans down. The general effect is to cause more extreme weather.wetcoast wrote:Yes, last 7 years we have been cooling. That is why the scientists talk about changing the numbers to "hide the decline".

Re: Climategate
Yes, I realize that in the last few years (since reality didn't support their claims and computer models)... that they changed the name from Global Warming to Climate Change. It seemed like the terminology changed around 2 years ago, when it was shown that al gore flipped the chart.
Don't get me wrong... I believe in peak oil theory, reducing our oil dependance, reducing polution, recyling/reducing/reusing, mass transit etc etc.... basically doing our part of the enviroment.
I just don't believe in man-made global warming (and only 35% of people polled do). These emails (if nothing else) seriously damage science and the scientific process in general. When you have the worlds top scientists talking about changing numbers, flipping charts, silencing critics, deleting emails.... it raises big alarm bells.

Re: Climategate
Did you know: In the fourteenth century, Europe ~ thee place to get wine was in the Gloucester Vale, England. It was the bench mark for wine in Europe. Then the atmosphere cooled by a couple of degrees and the wine centre moved to the Bordeaux region of France.
As far as 2012: I ran into a couple of Mayans in my local coffee shop, sometime this last year, who were up on the 2012 story, apparently it is not about the end of the world, per se, it's about when the world achieves total enlightenment and it has already begun. The Mayan guy explained to me that it takes place over a period of around fifty years, according to their legend.
That's what I heard anyway.
