no rear heat: how is this plumbed?

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

no rear heat: how is this plumbed?

Post by torchard »

As the subject line says ...

Could someone give a description of how this operates and-or what might be wrong: The controls all seems to be working properly e.g. the fan runs fine, the vents adjust properly, but it blows only ambient air.

As I understand it, there are inlet/outlet lines from the manifold running back and up through the floor to this heater/fan/air con unit with apparently no valve or anything inline, correct?

So I'm assuming the control valve that opens/closes allowing hot water to the heater core and related linkage is located inside the van under the rear control panel and accessed from w/n the van, - is this correct?

My thinking is that whatever is wrong would likely be found under the rear panel, correct?

Anybody got pix?

Thanks,

In order to get heat you must have it set to blow out the floor vents. The rest of the vents are for cooler air.

Try that first, it is most obvious. If it doesn't work let us know.
