oil change on 2800 diesel

Hi i am from B.C but just moved to australia and bought a '94 2800 diesel (i assume this means 2.8 litre?) Delica Exceed Van.

I have ordered a manual but am still waiting for it and meanwhile am 200 kms over the next oil change time! Just wondering if any one has done an oil change on one of these bad boys. I got the right filter already (same one in it now) and some diesel oil. I don't know how much oil is recommended to fill it back up and have never done an oil change on a diesel motor before.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

You moved to the right place.

Take your Delica to the nearest diesel mechanic shop and have them do the oil change if you have never done it before yourself. Watch & learn for the first time.

There are millions of 2.8 Delica's in the land of OZ.

Hi, the capacity oil for L400 4m40 2.8 engine is around 8 Liters;
Check the dipstick. also depends on the oil filter you used. if ogianl or replacement.
original will be nearly 8 or 8 liters

where in aus are you? ( i am in QLD)changing oil is a very easy job,if and when you join the aussie club ,( http://www.delicaclub.com )there is plenty of how to posts and probably someone near who will help you
