Re: Glow Plugs
Found out that the CY55 NGK plug is not available in US or Canada. Have to get from GB.

Re: Glow Plugs
I would be willing to bet that with a part number you could get them from Mitsubishi in Canada (just don't tell them what it's for) I know that's the way it worked for the 4D56 ones... (and other parts that were found only on JDM Mitsubishi vehicles)

Re: Glow Plugs
I read that the 4M40 powerplant is/was used by Caterpillar in some of their lighter-duty equipment; I can't believe the parts are made of Unobtanium over here! Have you tried your local diesel equipment repair shop (non-automotive?)

Re: Glow Plugs
I had no luck crossing the ngk numbers I got from the UK. I had the cy-55 same as you, the cy-05, which is made exclusively for mitsubishi and is sold as mitsubishi part # me201638. I am a heavy duty diesel mechanic in Manitoba for a large construction company, and was unable to find this engine in any equipment we had. What I did find was Paul at Pacific jdm Parts had them in stock for $23 each, and a block hearet for under $40. He was extremely helpful, mailed them out to me the next day. At that price, I bought four, even though I only needed one. I think his email is paul@pacificjdmparts.com He has some adds in here some where, and for what its worth I would recomend him to any of my friends.
