Hello there from BFG in the UK!

Post by BFG »

Hi guys,
Ive been a member of the MDOCUK for about 3 months now where I got the link to your site and have been actively browsing your great forums religiously
for the last month or so.
I thought it was high time I joined :D

I have a 1992 L300 Starwagon 2.5TD Automatic and I have had it for about 4 months, green over cream/gold.
I am well and truely addicted to my deli hehe and love nothing better than tinkering with it when im not working (im a chef by trade).
It appears that in the UK us L300 owners are a rare breed with the L400 owners dominant by about 5 to 1 :( .
Looking at the forums here it looks like its the other way round?? Or do I have it wrong??

Anyway, Im married with 4 kids (3 boys 12, 10 & 9 and a 1 year old girl) and we like nothing better than attending meets here in the UK.
Would love to meet some of you guys, but obviously the distance is a factor hehe.

I am in the process of trying to gather as many of the different world wide club stickers as I can and if anyone can hook me up with a Deli.ca club sticker
(for paypal cash or a swap with an MDOCUK one) let me know via PM or even provide me with a link as to where to buy would be great.

Honoured to be a part of this club.

Cheers

Hello Rich and Family,
Welcome from the Canadian branch of the Delica Family Tree.

I don't have stickers, but Mararmeisto would be a good person to contact.

If you decide to visit, you are welcome to stay with us in our TardisDeli Motel, in Burnaby just outside of Vancouver. Adults get the spare room, kids get the living room floor (or tenting in the back yard). We will organize a Deli-Meat meet in your honour, wowww Instant Celebrity Status.

We have an L300, as most others do, since the L400 is only just arriving here (vehicles must be 15 years after date and month of manufacture before legal to arrive in Canada, protect the auto industry here). We camp and drive 4x4 forestry roads often in our deli, and Jay has installed the microwave and inverter and I plug in my electric blanket for true "Roughing It" in the Canadian wilds.

Whereabouts in England are you, Jay and I visited 2 summers ago.

Cheers,
Christine
