After 2 months of research, spending hours on the computer (my wife asked me if I was having an online affair) :) reading posts from delica.ca, I have finally found and purchased my Deli.

1991 Super exceed with crystal lite roof, ladder, 114km Grade 3.5. I am stoked.
Went with Terra 2 imports. Great guys and very profesional. Should be on a boat in 3-4 weeks. Looking forward to putting all that I have learned here to good practice

I will give a you a PM Fanny Bay Delica when it arrives and we can meet up for a coffee.

A bit nerve wracking even though so many people have brought over a vehicle, I am still a tad nervous buying van I have never touched, seen or driven before. But I feel very good having a community of delica owners behind me.

Question? Does anyone have experience with car seats in the captains chairs? Also, what roof racks fit on a high roof crystal lite?

waiting is the hardest part

Hey Sean... I know how it is, But I am at the other end of the wait! Finally they are here., after I post this I am off to pick up my 2 Delicas, just released from customs. So be patient... you have to be, and soon you will be fighting traffic in richmond with an a2b permit on a right hand drive van that you never drove before en route to the inspection facility.

wish me luck. sid

2 Delicas!! Wow. Two is better than one. Are you keeping both or are you selling one?

As for the inspection, Terra2 takes care of everything so when I arrive in North Van from the island all I do is sign, insure and drive away. I will try to time it so that I am not driving RHD in rush hour  .

How long did you wait? I am ready to wait as long as it takes because that is what I have to do. I am just happy that there is Delica with my name on it.

Good luck Sid with your driving in the big smoke.

Hey Sean,

Congrats on the Delica. I was going to go with Terra2Imports but found one local.

Regarding car seats in the Captains chairs, there is a threard on the forum about them. If your lucky your captains chairs may have 3 point seatbelts. If not you can either put them on the back bench which has cinch-up style seatbelts or you will need a more concrete way of securing the car seats to the captain chairs.

The problem with the seatbelts in the captain chairs is that the lap belts are intertia driven and are very loose most of the time and in regular driving. Its possible for the whole child car seat to slide off. Some people have just secured the car seat with an additional seatbelt or some other tie down.

Welcome
