Hi Westy.

I just got my new Deli home to Owen Sound, Ontario on Saturday. I took it into my mechanic today for the safety and they loved it. I think any good garage should be able to work on the van without any trouble. I'm prepared to have proprietary parts shipped from BC, realizing that there will be a bit of down time once in a while. I did however, purchase spare glow plugs and oil filters when I bought my Deli, so that I would have these on hand when needed.

I also understand that some parts are interchangeable with other Mitsubishi models, and with other vehicles that use the same parts manufacturers. I don't know which parts this applies to yet, but there may be others on the forum who can comment on this.

I also had the van into a shop in Regina that had never seen a Delica before, and they had no problem working on the electrical.

There are a few other Delica owners in Ontario. One in Barrie, one in Kincardine, at least one in Waterloo, a couple in Toronto, and one somewhere in the Minden area, so you wouldn't be alone...just ALMOST alone.

Don't bet on finding a decent van for 6k. Something good will likely be 10k+...and worth every penny from what I've seen so far.

Cheers.

Alrighty I used the search man this site is something else ! :-D all the cross reference parts from other cars are listed on here, so far I figured out I would need to replace the cooling system, alternator, glowplug controller unit, glowplugs and get good brakes before I head out here. Nishby I will check back with you to see how you made out with the Delica in a few months winters almost over and I'm going to run the VW bus until I learn a little more about these Deli buses
