That unit looks pretty good and that is a good price on the Baldor and bowl.
Most complete units seem to be going for about 1200 us.

I am talking with a few places on the island about having some bowls made up. I have not priced out the Baldor up here yet.(seems like it is a special motor in that it is designed to run on its side)

I wonder if we could all agree on a model and do a GROUP BUY!

I still prefer my good old alfaLaval, its turn key, and doesent have to do multiple passes.

sure its over kill, but I know I wont have left over glycerin or water particles left in my fuel...there is SOOOOOOOOOO many people making bio now with left over water in it and glycerin
if your running B100, I would pull your drain bolt from your fuel tank about every 6 months to see if you have a layer of glycerin in the bottom of your tank, I have an old glass water wine making jug so I can see any layers if they form, wont cost you anything to do it, and its good piece of mind.
If you have glycerin in your fuel tank, then you also have a layer of it in the bottom of your injection pump.

We're talking two different things here. Yes you're monster is pretty scary in a good way but this centrifuge is as you know for wvo. Personally I'm not interested in making bio, don't like to have leftover chemicals to dispose of at the end of the process. And wvo has been working great for me... Just completed 1000 km on 7 liters of diesel, not bad! (and would be even less diesel if I wasn't driving in the city...)

ya good point, but if you can find a large centrifuge like this, it does filter down to around the 1 micron and suposed to be smaller,but I dont know what is smaller than the micron... when i had 2 of these running, i ran one just for wvo befor I processed it into bio, and then one inline after it was processed to make sure any particals of glycerin were removed.
even running WVO, its very important to get it as clean as possible. Ive had the head off a few diesels now that have been running wvo about 80% of the time, and I hope that about every 5000km you run a couple tanks of either bio, or pump fuel to clean the head, once these things coke up, its hard to get them cleared up with out pulling them apart.
